Multipurpose printer

We are a large family, gathering together for weekends etc. Since many of my grandchildren are students they are often doing homework while there and this multipurpose printer has proved invaluable.

Installation; instructions, iMac

By trial and error I managed to install to my home-network. Afterwards the printer works as promised, except: how to use features on my iMac which is on my home network. The iMac prints but other features: pdf, scan, fax(?[who uses faxs?]) ) are not usable. Checked HP web site but no help. My gripe: why not does HP display on the packaging this limitation? I recommend to PC owners but not to iMac owners.

Bought to Replace Old One
