Ink doesn’t last 6moths like they tell you !

However, I was told that the ink that come with the printer is supposed to last 6moths I had the printer for about 10 days used it 3 time and now is running low on in and I have to wait 5-10 business days for more ink and I have to either go out and print or spend my own money on it !

I’m sorry to learn that your printer is low on ink well before you expected it to be. I can certainly understand why this would be a jarring surprise, especially considering you must wait five to 10 business days for new cartridges. I want to help you understand what’s happening so you can get the most from the printer from here forward. I hope the information and resources below will accomplish that.
First, I can’t say for certain what happened with the ink supply in your case, but some printers come with what are known as setup cartridges, which have a lower capacity than regular or XL cartridges, and less still than ones in our Instant Ink program.
Second, printers such as yours don’t ship with a six-month supply of ink. Rather, the purchase includes six months’ enrollment in Instant Ink. In that program, you choose a plan based on the number of pages you would like to print monthly, and replacement cartridges are shipped as needed based on usage. Once the free period expires, you are billed on a monthly interval.
Instant Ink should have been an option for you when you set up the printer. If it was not, or if you did not enroll, I recommend that you contact us directly so we can assess and resolve the situation. HP+ printers such as yours come with exclusive concierge support. Its little touchscreen wouldn't allow it to copy or even function. Another problem I noticed was the low quality of the printout after installing the ink. It came out not too sharp and not too intense as compared with my other copier.

It took about an hour to get set up. A couple of days later I went to scan and it would not scan, the error message said it would not connect to the internet. Really, you can not scan unless it is connected to the internet or they have not done a good job in explaining how to do so without the internet. A week later I had an 80 page manual I needed to print. It started printing, then I got a message saying the printer was not connected to the internet. It then canceled my print job. This time I checked and my internet was working with numerous other devices. I shut off the printer and started it back up, it now says it is connected. I was able to finish my printing job. I have wasted more time with this printer than I did with the other HP printer that I had for over 7 years. HP was quick in sending me an email reminding my free ink for 6 months is free as long as you do not go over their page limit. In the past, I used to print confidential documents, today I would not feel comfortable doing so on this printer especially since it must be connected to the internet to print. I just wanted an easy to use printer/scanner. If there are more hassles, I will be looking to replace my one month old printer with another brand.

When it is turned on, and a print job is sent to it, you will hear the mechanisms inside the printer moving around for up to 3 minutes before the first page is printed. My older HP printers were much more reliable and responsive. I am thinking about returning this printer and buying an older, used model.

I am not real technically inclined but I was able to set it up myself with no problem. I am able to print from my computer, tablet and phone with no issues so far.
