On the positive side of things, printing is quick, feeder trey makes scanning documents a breeze, and integrates easily with every device on the network. All of my computers immediately saw it as a printing source after setting up once through the app. Phones without the HP Smart saw it through the share function while on the network. That includes both Android and iOS devices. But in order to maximize the features, the HP Smart app is a must. It unlocks mobile scan, printer scan (if you need a paper document on your phone), mobile fax, and cloud printing. It also integrates with cloud services such as Google Drive and Dropbox, to name a few, for printing documents found on your personal cloud storage. It comes with a 6mo trial of Instant ink, which can only be claimed from the app. The only problem with this machine is the design/material of the paper trey. A it too flimsy or poorly designed. Pros: Relatively easy setup. Pairing to a mobile phone/tablet Android or iOS is extremely straightforward and just works as long as you’re on the same network. WiFi direct makes things far simpler as long as you are within the printers range. Just connect to its SSID using the pin it prints when you hold the “continue” key for 3 seconds. Solid construction. High quality prints for every type of file. Cons: The paper trey is the only part I find in the construction that is questionable. The clips are flimsy and it just feels like the design was poor. The trey itself wiggles slightly to the touch. It’s jammed several times sliding it out. Makes me believe I’ll one day break the trey sliding it out to reload paper or clear a paperjam.

Trouble is, you cant find replacement ink for it anywhere. Unfortunately, it was past return date when I realized this issue. In the end, buying this printer was a big waste of money.
