***In my own opinion*** This is a simple printer for those not looking to do too much printing as a whole. Not quite the Home Office scenario but more for someone who is looking to do lite printing less than 200 sheets a month. I'm not an expert by any means, but rather, going by what I have seen so far which is decent prints but boy do the ink cartridges go quickly! About 1 month in with 5 pictures, and a couple pamphlets and resumes for some people and I am under half capacity. No wonder they want you to buy membership for Ink!

      Hi there.

I’m sorry to hear that your printer has used more ink than you’d anticipated. I can understand why that would be quite an unwelcome surprise. It does seem like you should have gotten more than what you describe, so I’ll provide some information and resources I hope will help nonetheless.

Here are some things you can consider:
      - If it appears that a cartridge was low on ink to begin with, or that the poor page yield was caused by a defective cartridge, you can always contact the seller who sent you the cartridge about that.
      - Contact us if the supplies are defective genuine cartridges that are not replaced by the vendor (and they are still within the “warranty ends” date on the cartridges). Reach out to us via this link: support.hp.com/us-en/contact-hp

Here are some facts on ink use that might help you get more prints without too much extra effort:
      - A high-density print (such as an image or graph) uses ink more quickly than a text-only document, particularly if the paper is highly absorbent and the environment is dry.
      - Using the draft and black only settings on your printer can help save on ink, particularly the colors.
      - Shutting the printer down between uses can result in some savings. However, always use the power button on the printer itself to turn it off. That will let the printer to 'park' so that the nozzles that spray the ink onto the paper are protected from excess drying.

If the problem persists, I recommend that you reach out to us so we can help you assess the situation and work through any necessary troubleshooting with you. Get in touch via your preferred method at this link: hp.com/contactHP

Not at all happy with this purchase. Have been a loyal HP customer for a long time so when our old one stopped working properly, we only shopped for a new HP one. The paper output tray is flimsy - and in looking at other HP options, I can't seem to find ones without this tray. It's loud and randomly spins the paper roller. Wish I could return it.

      Hi there.

I’m sorry to hear you’ve encountered difficulty with your printer and are unhappy with its general workmanship. It’s easy to understand why unexpected noise and a paper feeding system that seems to operate at random would be a poor start to ownership. I want to help you remedy these problems, so I’ll offer some resources and information aimed at making that happen.

First, I'll explain one factor that might be causing the noise you hear. While your printer is powered up, it makes sure that the nozzles are regularly cleared, which can be noisy, especially if the printer is on a hard surface. I suggest you try placing the printer on a padded surface to muffle the vibrations that occur.

Next, I can’t tell from your review when the document feeder does what you describe, but nonetheless you might gain insight from this guide to feeders that fail to pick up any paper or pull through too many pages at once:
      - support.hp.com/us-en/document/c01728503

If any problem persists or you need further assistance, I suggest you contact us directly so we can help you assess what’s happening and find the best path to a resolution. HP+ printers such as yours come with exclusive concierge support. To call and reach live HP+ experts, visit the following URL and enter your HP+ serial number:
      - hp.com/plus-help

I'll also mention that HP printers have a one-year warranty from their purchase date that covers hardware as well as ink supplies – and that warranty extends to two years with an HP+ account – so if it comes to that, you might consider making use of it. You can verify the warranty using the following link:

The printer worked great and then we bought an eero router. My eero out of the box will only let me use the guest network, not the main one I paid for. So I signed the printer into the guest network and it worked great. When I got home, it won't work at all. It says it's offline and on the printer it says it's singed in! MAN!

Had to replace the printer because HP instant ink sent me a defective cartridge. It ruined the printing. Fortunately I had warranty.
