Great quality printer but the top feeder doesn’t work properly. It tends to tug at the paper more from one side causing blurred scans.

DO NOT BUY IF YOU USE APPLE PRODUCTS. The previous models worked exceptionally with my MacBook for all purposes, but HP has since updated there firmware and software, and now you can no longer scan to computer without using there app, and printing takes a lot longer as well. I have to use HP for work (free ink), but if not would steer clear of all HP printers. The 3 I’ve had have broken down 1-2 months after warranty expiration.

      Hi, Ryan.

I'm sorry to hear you encountered difficulty with your printer’s scanning feature after the printer’s firmware and software updates. I can see how that would be a big frustration, so let me see whether I can offer some helpful suggestions.

For scanning with Mac OS Catalina, here’s a workaround using Apple Image Capture to scan documents. You can find a description here:
      - support.hp.com/us-en/document/c06455960

You can also try an app called HP Smart, although based on your review, this is probably the app you mention. At any rate, it’s available in Apple’s App Store. It includes features such as Scan, Print, Smart Task and Print Anywhere. You can find more information on that here:
      - support.hp.com/sg-en/document/c06188214

I hope what I've offered here helps. Regardless, for any questions or help troubleshooting you can reach out to us for support. You can contact us directly via your preferred method at this link: hp.com/contactHP

For the price I feel like it should be a lot faster and hold more paper. As is it holds about 100 sheets of paper.

This is such a great printer but without ink it is difficult to use. Went to the Best Buy and the Manager politely stated there is nothing that can be done because the ink does not have to be full when purchased. I am still trying to understand this. Please make sure your products have ink, please. Inkless

      Hi there.

I’m sorry you’ve run into trouble with your printer. I can’t understand from your review exactly what happened – whether the unit came with empty setup cartridges, or you ran short of ink prematurely. Regardless, unless the printer was used, it should have included full setup cartridges. I want to help you out of this dilemma. I hope that the resource and information below will make that happen.

I recommend that you contact us directly so we can help you assess what’s happened and find the best path to a resolution. HP+ printers such as yours come with exclusive concierge support. To call and reach live HP+ experts, visit the following URL and enter your HP+ serial number:
      - hp.com/plus-help

I'll also mention that new HP printers have a one-year warranty from their purchase date that covers hardware as well as ink supplies – and that warranty extends to two years with an HP+ account – so if it comes to that, you might consider making use of it. You can verify the warranty using the following link:

      Hi there,

I'm so sorry to hear about these complications that you've encountered with the printer. I can fully understand how inconvenient they've been and I want to assure you that was never our intention. That being said, let's see how I can help resolve these issues.

First, I do have a few suggestions to try for lowering ink consumption. To start, I recommend using the printer's draft mode, as this can often improve ink usage. Following that, you could also set the printer to print black and white only. If you find you're still using quite a bit, Instant Ink might just be worth a try. Many customers like our available plans, as they're based on how many pages you print monthly. If your printer usage is minimal, Instant Ink also offers a subscription plan that allows you to print 15 pages a month for free! For more details, you can visit this link: HPinstantink.com

Regarding the feeding issue, what I’d recommend is cleaning your printer’s rollers, as this often remedies any inconsistencies with improper paper feeding. You can find the steps for how to do so in this document: support.hp.com/us-en/document/c06255431

If the issues persist, please don't hesitate to reach out to us for support. We're always here to help! You can get in touch anytime via your preferred method at this link: hp.com/contactHP

We look forward to making this right.

I usually love HP printers but this one is disappointing. This printer is so much less durable than the HP printer I had before. The paper tray runs out quickly and the Ink is expensive and does not last long. The printer uses 910 HP Ink and I use the XL version which is supposed to last longer, but I cant say that it does.

Modern printers are not made with users in mind, and HP printers might be the worst. The ink cartridge subscription HP tries to sell you is a racket, and their ink cartridges tell you they're empty when they've barely been used. Unfortunately, there is no solution to this than to try and by the best worst printer, and but third party cartridges
