Posted .Hi there.
I’m sorry to hear that your printer has failed to print properly after you installed ink cartridges that are made for it. I can understand why that would be quite a jarring surprise, so I’ll offer some information and resources that I hope will help.
HP has identified a manufacturing issue on specific production lots of supplies that can affect print quality in the way you describe, cause a cartridge-recognition error or both. HP recently released new firmware to help protect your printer from this.
You can resolve the problem by following the steps below:
1. Visit our official support site: support.hp.com
2. In the section called “Identify your product for manuals and specific product information” insert your printer’s serial number and click “submit.”
3. Scroll down and click the tile with “Are you having print quality issues or getting an incompatible cartridge message?”
4. Proceed as instructed.
If any problem persists, I recommend that you contact us directly at +1 800-474-6836 so we can help you assess the situation and find a solution. (Please note that because of restrictions on personal movement and workplace attendance associated with the COVID-19 pandemic, wait times for agents are longer than normal. Thanks in advance for your understanding.) To expedite the process, I recommend gathering the following information before the call:
- Model number
- Serial number
- Your location
- Case number (from any previous contact with HP support)
I'll also mention that HP printers have a one-year warranty from their purchase date that covers hardware as well as ink supplies, so if it comes to that, you might consider making use of it. You can verify the warranty using the following link: support.hp.com/us-en/checkwarranty

Worst Printer Ever
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Worst printer I've ever purchased. I let a Best Buy Sales guy talk me into this one, and have had constant trouble with it. It sucks ink like crazy, and continues to go offline. I had two Brother printers before this one, and never had any trouble until they just died. Will never buy another HP product.

Posted .Hi there.
I’m sorry you’ve encountered such difficulty with your printer. I can clearly see why the device going offline so frequently and using ink more rapidly than you’d anticipated would be a bad combination. I want to help you resolve these issues, so I’ll provide some resources and information I hope will make that happen.
First, I recommend you visit a page on our support site that has diagnostic tools for various issues, including printer-offline difficulties. You can find that page here:
- support.hp.com/us-en/topic/diagnostics
Next, regarding ink, I can’t tell how many pages you’ve printed or how that compares with the cartridges’ estimated page yield. I’ll point out that some printers come with what are known as setup cartridges, which have a lower capacity than regular or XL cartridges, and less still than ones in our Instant Ink program. If you’re still using the cartridges that came with the printer, this could explain what you’re seeing.
However, if you’ve installed replacement cartridges, the XL cartridges designed for your printer have estimated yields of 825 pages, while the regular size cartridges are expected to produce about 300 pages. How cartridges perform in your own printer varies according to numerous factors, including resolution, how dry the air is and how absorbent the paper is.
Regardless, if your results differ dramatically from the estimates above – or if the offline problem persists – I suggest you contact us directly so we can help you assess what’s happening and find a solution. Sad purchase
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Printer keeps placing itself in "offline" despite being on and directly connected to the computer, making impossible to work with it. Troubleshooter from HP states the print is OK, or that cannot fix the problem. Furthermore, the screen for commands is not user friendly and provides scant information. This is the second HP printer I have bought in less than one year... they no longer work to their old made name.

Quality Has Gone Down!
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Out of the box, I could already feel the that the plastic was noticeably flimsy. I thought maybe it was just me and continued to set it up. The print jobs were misaligned on the paper even though I did 3 correct print alignment calibrations. The printer would feed 2 pages at a time printing part of the job on one and running onto the next simultaneously. Our 6 year old HP never had these problems until it gave out. I would strongly advise to not purchase this printer.

Stay Away! ! !
||Posted . Owned for more than 2 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got an HP 8020 that was replaced while it was under warranty. HP sent me the 8025. In both printers, the colored ink started clogging and leaving newsletters with streaks across the pages. Judging by the number of videos that address this, it must be a common problem. Stay away. I had 2 machines in 2 years and both became unusable due to ink clogging.

THE WORST
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Before I separated from my husband and had to buy a new printer, I used the same trusty printer for about 15 years. This new thing is the most high-maintenance, annoying, cheaply made piece of crap ever. I should could count the number of times I've texted my friend to say that I'm chucking it out the window. And when it finally decided to print for me, it was suddenly out of ink! Good times HP!! Never ever ever again will I buy one of their products.

Usuless: printer and customer service
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Worked for a few weeks OK, then would just turn on and off when it felt like it. Wireless was shotty, sometimes it was linked, sometimes not. Then I got an error code that I've been unable to clear and it no longer does anything, just a paperweight on my desk. HP support is literally nonexistent, and Best Buy no help either. Tried GeekSquad and they charged me for repair that they didn't fix. Horrible experience all around. Printing Beast
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The HP OfficeJet Pro 8035e is a beautiful printer that works for the small home office and everyday printing. Setup took less than 5 minutes and the instructions were easy to follow. Getting the ink in was really easy and quick! In my testing with this product I was printing certificates and other important documents. The print quality was exceptional with no smudging and no bleed. One feature I really enjoyed is it comes with their Instant ink program which is free for 6 months then minimal cost after. They shipped the ink straight to my house after I got low on ink which was really nice since I was not able to find ink in stores. I will end on one feature I really enjoyed was the mobile shortcut to print directly from my phone. With so many of my documents coming in messages I was able to quickly print them from my phone which was a huge lifesaver.

A Good All-Rounder
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.HP Officejet 8025 Whats in the box ———————— 1. Instructions 2. Power cord 3. 4 toner ink cartridges Pros —— 1. Its wireless and fast, I would say fastest inkjet 2. Has a document feeder for faster printing, scanning and copying 3. Good HP App with cloud support for google, dropbox 4. Two sided printing saves paper 5. Its an all in one (Printer, Fax, Copier and Scanner) Cons —— 1. It's an inkjet and not laser jet. Ink will be costly in the long run 2. Does not include ethernet or USB cables for wired printing Review ——— SETUP & BUILD QUALITY Build quality is pretty standard for this range of printer and it's made of some percentage of recycled plastic. I like the color touch screen and it looks beautiful. Setup is pretty straight forward, follow the instructions, install the ink cartridges and plug it in and you are good to go. The ink cartridges are color coded to make sure you plug in the colors at the right slot, there are 4 of these that need to be installed. You can use the 2.7 inch touchscreen to setup to join the wifi network. Once you download, the app and create an account, you can chose to go to a subscription plan for ordering ink, I think its a reasonable 2.99$ for 50 pages per month and the plan can be changed. It has 1 punter tray and a feeder at the top. I was able to easily set up the printer as a local printer and on the network for both my Mac and PC to access. I was also able to setup my Alexa to print, however not sure how this will be useful yet. Think for now, I have used it for printing crayola printing pages for my son to color on. PRINTING, SCAN, FAX, COPY I was impressed with the speed and the depth of the colors of this printer. For a inkjet this printer has great speed. It can handle 225 sheets on the input tray and 60 sheets on the output tray. I don’t think I am going to print books and these numbers are very reasonable. I can directly print the document off a phone which is lacking in my current wired printer. I can also email a document to a unique email address and the document would print. This is an excellent feature. The network printing works very well and its fast. Its not a photo printer and I won’t try that on this printer. I used the flat bed and the feeder for feeding in the document and be able to copy and scan to email which is a great feature comes right to my email.. Overall I think this is a very good printer. I am just curious to see how long does the starter cartridges last….

Decent Home Printer, Needs some Features to be Pro
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The HP OfficeJet Pro 8025 is a color inkjet printer with that's capable of scanning and copying documents. It has mobile connectivity so you can print and scan wirelessly. The printer is relatively compact with just one paper tray. Setup is pretty quick and carried out via a touch screen panel on the front of the printer. The touchscreen is decent. It isn't too responsive but then again, it will only see pretty intermittent use. Next to the touchscreen is a plastic panel that hides the inkjet cartridges. There's a separate black cartridge plus the three color ones. The plastic panel is a bit flimsy so be careful when changing out ink. After installing the ink, the next step is printing a calibration page. Once that process is complete, I then set up the wireless connection. I really like having internet connected printers as it let me print from any of my mobile devices. After selecting the SSID, one enters the password via on-screen keyboard. The process is a bit slow as you select a group of 3 or 4 letters then tap to cycle through until you get to the desired letter. Hopefully, your password isn't too long. Printing and scanning worked well. I got fast prints from both my PC and mobile phone. Scanning was ok, though you'd need to manually flip the page if you're scanning something that's double-sided. Print quality was pretty good. Scanning to the app or to print a copy also worked well. The printer offers an ink subscription service. On the one hand, its' cool to have the printer auto order new ink. On the other hand, you're guaranteed to be locked into the costliest part of any printer (ink) at what is likely the highest available price. I don't think the convenience is worth it for me. While its getting to the point where its no longer cheaper to just buy a new printer when you run out of ink, I think it still makes sense to handle ink buying yourself to cut down on costs.
