HP was a total disaster. It was so complicated to get it to work wirelessly that I had to buy a cable to do the simple task of printing. Shame on HP, for putting this "all-in-one" throwaway device on the market. I'll have to take it back to Best Buy.

      Hi, Linda.

I’m sorry that your printer has stopped working. Your frustration comes as no surprise, considering you’d just installed genuine HP ink cartridges and immediately encountered a software problem. I want to help you resolve this situation, so I’ll suggest some resources aimed at making that happen.

I can’t tell from your review what’s causing these problems. I recommend that you contact us directly so we can help you assess what’s happening and find the best course of action. HP+ printers such as yours come with exclusive concierge support. To call and reach live HP+ experts, visit the following URL and enter your HP+ serial number:
      - hp.com/plus-help

I'll also mention that HP printers have a one-year warranty from their purchase date that covers hardware as well as ink supplies – and that warranty extends to two years with an HP+ account – so if it comes to that, you might consider making use of it. You can verify the warranty using the following link:

I would not rate this the greatest printer, but I will say that HP has improved a lot. i owned a few HP printers in the past and changed brands because the quality of the ink was not great and never lasted as long as it claimed and the printer always had connectivity issues or printed super slow. This is def a couple steps up from the printers I've owned in the past. The design is very nice! I love the look and even though it is larger than what I expected, it is not heavy. The ink seems to be holding up better than what I remember. I used to have to shake my old cartridges even after a couple of print jobs not too long after buying it. The set-up was very easy and it connected right away to my wifi...which is a HUGE plus in my book. Even after my kids unplugged it several times, It connected right away. The ONLY reason I gave this 4 stars is because the start up takes forever. If I print something, it feels like it takes about 2-3 minutes to get it running and actually print the item. It may be about 1-1 1/2 minutes in actual time, but it's much longer than my other printer that starts right up and is spitting on the paper within seconds. I really like the fact that the HP printer has "Instant ink" based on the amount of ink you currently have left. As soon as your ink is to a certain level they will send out a new cartridge. I did not like the previous programs that were based on time because each month I print a different amount. I do not have a set amount I print daily. When I am in school, I print more. I love that the printer comes with a 6 months of instant ink included so you can try out the ink and see how long it actually lasts. The print quality is pretty great and I hope the ink lasts a lot longer than my previous printers ever did (even when I purchased the XL ink). I will say for those that want to purchase this in hopes it prints great photos or even decent ones, it does not. That is not why I deducted a star though. Just some helpful info. Other than the 1 thing I thought could be better, I really like this printer. When it does finally start printing, it prints within a decent time.

      Hi there.

I’m sorry to learn that you’ve gotten a bad impression of our Instant Ink program and the offer for free enrollment that comes with certain printers. I want to help you better understand the program, so I’ll offer some clarifying information and a resource I hope will reach that end.

Instant Ink is a printing plan, not a cartridge purchasing service. This means you choose a plan based on the number of pages you would like to print monthly. You are billed monthly at the end of each billing cycle. Replacement cartridges are shipped as needed based on usage, not by the month. Some printers come with an offer for a period of free enrollment in such a plan along with enrollment in HP+. Instant Ink cartridges contain much more ink than cartridges you could buy at a retailer, so they last much longer.

If you’ve encountered a problem, have any further questions or want to see how an offer might apply to your printer, I recommend that you contact our Instant Ink program at +1-855-785-2777. Please note that because of restrictions on personal movement and workplace attendance associated with the COVID-19 pandemic, wait times for agents can be longer than normal. Thanks in advance for your understanding.

Best Buy should have taken this item off their shelves. The 910 ink can damage the computer and has been recalled. HP instructed sellers to take off the shelves. I cannot find any ink for this computer and it is essentially a brick. Best Buy should offer a full rebate/exchange.

      Hi, Vicki.

I’m sorry that your printer has not completed the setup and installation process. Your disappointment is easy to understand, considering you provided the necessary information for an Instant Ink printing plan but it did not go through. I want to help you resolve this situation, so I’ll offer some resources aimed at making that happen.

First, I recommend that you follow the steps in this guide to dealing with setup or registration problems that you’ll find on our support site:

The printer is good, does as it should but one of the supposed benefit of it was the ability to sign up for Instant Ink. I have spent over 1 hour trying to sing up through HP's chat assistance (after several attempts by myself) to no avail. Really frustrating and not happy with it at all.

      Hi there.

While I’m glad to hear that you like your printer, I’m sorry you’ve had such difficulty getting signed up with Instant Ink. It’s easy to understand why that would be quite unnerving, so I’ll provide some information and resources I hope will help.

First, because of restrictions on personal movement and workplace attendance associated with the COVID-19 pandemic, our Instant Ink support agents have been under time strain that can be intense at times. While that’s no justification for your being unable to sign up, it might explain what happened. I hope that you will contact us directly again at 1-855-785-2777.

One of my worst purchases. When I tried to replace the ink with the correct HP cartridges they wouldn't work. When I tried to contact HP for help, they wouldn't recognize the printer's serial number. And since HP has a bad cartridge problem, cyan and yellow are unavailable.

      Hi there.

I’m sorry to hear that your printer has failed to recognize ink cartridges that are made for it, that you got confusing information about your printer’s serial number, and that you’ve had difficulty finding ink cartridges. I can understand why that would be quite a jarring combination, so I’ll offer some information and resources that I hope will help.

HP has identified a manufacturing issue on specific production lots of supplies that can affect print quality, cause a cartridge-recognition error or both. HP recently released new firmware to help protect your printer from this.

You can resolve the problem by following the steps below:

      1. Visit our official support site: support.hp.com
      2. In the section called “Identify your product for manuals and specific product information” insert your printer’s serial number and click “submit.”
      3. Scroll down and click the tile with “Are you having print quality issues or getting an incompatible cartridge message?”
      4. Proceed as instructed.

If the problem persists, I suggest that you contact us directly at +1 800-474-6836 so we can help you assess the situation and guide you through any applicable troubleshooting. (Please note that because of restrictions on personal movement and workplace attendance associated with the COVID-19 pandemic, wait times for agents are longer than normal. Thanks in advance for your understanding.) To expedite the process, I recommend gathering the following information before the call:

      - Model number
      - Serial number
      - Your location
      - Case number (from any previous contact with HP support)

I'll also mention that HP printers have a one-year warranty from their purchase date that covers hardware as well as ink supplies, so if it comes to that, you might consider making use of it. You can verify the warranty using the following link: support.hp.com/us-en/checkwarranty

This printer was very simple to set up and start using. I used my phone with the HP Smart app, and HP made it very easy to use, as the app found the printer nearly immediately. Look at the pictures on the ink cartridges, as they will help you with the installation... not as straightforward as the ones I've used in the past, but simple nonetheless. This makes it very easy to print from any device (PC, tablet, or phone) on my network, and that is a huge benefit. The touchscreen on the front and the menu provided makes the printer adequately accessible. I don't like the idea of paying a monthly fee for my ink at home, but if I was running a business, I know that it would work out far cheaper than buying the ink cartridges on my own.
