Nice printer if you want to be locked into HP ink. I had mine for 6 months, but tired of HP's games for using only their ink. I scrapped after 6 months and went to Canon. I will not buy HP again.

      Hi there.

I’m sorry to hear that your printer has failed to recognize ink cartridges that are made for it. I can understand why that would be quite a jarring surprise, so I’ll offer some information and resources that I hope will help.

HP has identified a manufacturing issue on specific production lots of supplies that can affect print quality, cause a cartridge-recognition error like the one you surprise, or both. HP recently released new firmware to help protect your printer from this.

You can resolve the problem by following the steps below:

      1. Visit our official support site: support.hp.com
      2. In the section called “Identify your product for manuals and specific product information” insert your printer’s serial number and click “submit.”
      3. Scroll down and click the tile with “Are you having print quality issues or getting an incompatible cartridge message?”
      4. Proceed as instructed.

If you need further assistance, I hope you’ll contact us directly at +1 800-474-6836 so we can help you assess the situation and find a solution. (Please note that because of restrictions on personal movement and workplace attendance associated with the COVID-19 pandemic, wait times for agents are longer than normal. HP has been characterized by providing the public with innovation and at the same time comfort, this time it's not the exception since its HP OfficeJet Pro 8025e delivers a number of options and quite useful features at a reasonable price. I think finding a printer that meets our needs, not only your own but even the family's, is a bit complicated. At present, too many things are already done online, over the internet and having a printer that takes advantage of this and has very practical functions is appreciated. Unboxing as always is simple since once it is out of its box it is possible to start using the printer, however in order to have a better experience it will always be recommended to download the app that will support the installation process. The performance of the printer is great, the printing speed considering the size is quite good, printing in color is also simple and useful in cases where it is necessary. One of the attractive things about this printer is that the apps that we use every day can be connected to be able to print from practically any device connected to Wi-Fi, it is important to read and follow the steps in order to have a pleasant experience. I realized that today technology is being an ally in terms of education and that young people can access this kind of technology is very good. Printing homework, important documents or scanning is quite easy and fast, the print quality is excellent, and if the ink is about to finish you can receive up to 6 months of ink at no cost, it is only a matter of sign up for it. In summary, for the price it seems to me that you get what you pay for, printing from the cloud, from various devices via Wi-Fi, scan and have a very good print quality, it is worth it, I can recommend this printer.

    Dual-band Self-healing Network = Game Changer

HP OfficeJet Pro 8025e HP upgraded the popular OfficeJet Pro 8025e with several upgraded features. These include Fast color printing (10 pages per minute) and twice as fast black and white printing, two-sided printing, color copies, mobile wireless printing via HP Smart iOS app, with an automatic document feeder. However the most important feature to me remains under the covers and out of view, namely their intelligent dual-band (2.4 GHz / 5 GHz) self-healing network diagnostics. Having reviewed printers from multiple vendors, HP’s new self-healing network diagnostics means this upgraded 8025e always appears online and available, while 2 others (color laser , mono laser, wife and my office) only appear sporadically. I suspect this issue has more to do with my sometimes flaky network router, and the use of dynamic IP addresses. This might be rectified using static IP, but this printer just shortened my tech to-do task list by one item ;) Pros + upgraded feature from last year + mobile / wireless printing + color LCD screen for ease of use + self-healing network connection + HP Smart mobile app + excellent print quality + 20 ppm black white speed + 10 ppm color print speed + dual-sided printing + photo / document scanner + HP Smart Task shortcuts + 6-months Instant Ink free + environmentally responsible + fax features (not tested) + 90% features of more expensive printers Cons -Hp+ requires credit card on file -quality / speed less than LasetJet printers Conclusion Feature-rich, affordable printer, bettered only by more expensive LaserJet printers. I am in kind of a unique position with this review. The day I set up this HP OfficeJet Pro 8025e, I had the (joy) of setting up a medium duty MFP and an ink tank printer from another brand at work. A few things REALLY impressed me about the HP 8025e: 1) the packaging made it super easy to get out of the box. After dealing with the other two brands, the thoughtfulness of this was kinda shocking! Just two pieces of styrofoam on the ends of the printer, and the printer was in a plastic bag - WITH HANDLES! Just pull it out of the box and go. 2) From out of the box, it took me less than 5 minutes to get it connected and printing on my home network. I initially used an ethernet connection in my office, then moved it to another room where it is using wifi. Both have fast response times when printing. 3) HP+ seems like a really good deal and an compelling answer to the ink tanks of other brands. An extra year warranty is definitely a plus, and the included 6 month ink refill subscription covers up to 700 pages per month at no cost. I haven't drained the first ink cartridges yet so I'll have to comment later on how the actual fulfillment works, as I've never used an ink subscription service before. Overall, I can say confidently that this was the easiest printer to set up that I've ever used at home. The print quality is outstanding as well. The price point of the 8025e seems to put it at the entry level of the "business class" ink jets and I think it has a lot to offer considering that price. If you don't need a large paper feed tray but still do a moderate amount of printing per month, I think it's definitely worth looking at the 8025e.

The Officejet Pro 8025e is a fine printer that succeeds to do the job. This all-in-one printer has everything you need for a complete home or office set up. The features on this printer are incredible, scanning and printing times are very fast, and the print quality looks amazing. Setting up the printer is very easy, especially since the printer itself walks you through all of it right on the build in 2.7” touchscreen display. Once you’re about halfway through the set-up process, you are then instructed to complete it using the HP Smart software. The HP Smart software is an absolute necessity when using this printer, but more on that later. The Printer has some amazing features like fast printing, which lets you print up to 20 pages per minute black and 10 pages per min using color. There is also 2-sided printing, automatic document feeder, scanning and faxing. Of course, all this can be done over WiFi because the printer comes equipped with self-healing dual-band WiFi. The self-healing WiFi can automatically detect and resolve connectivity issues. Another great feature is the free 6 months of HP ink refills with instant ink. With instant ink, you can print up to 700 pages per month for free, once the ink is about to run out then HP automatically send you replacement ink. The HP Smart software is a great feature that lets you do many different things and expands the use of your printer. For starters this is where you can scan images to from the printer, you can also send photos or documents directly from your phone and print them out. You can also create shortcuts and store them on your dashboard, or the printer’s 2.7” touchscreen – for easy one-click operations. Overall, I am really happy with the HP Officejet Pro 8025e. The print quality is amazing, it comes out very crisp and detailed. The print speed is very impressive, I was able to print out many contracts in seconds and the printer never gave me any errors or lags. Plus, with the big paper tray being able to hold up to 220 sheets, I didn’t have to keep loading the tray that often. This is one of the best printers I have used, and I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a new printer.
