Beautiful Printer and Prints Beautiful Too
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I really like the form and physical design of this printer although that is not the most important characteristics. But having a nice clean design helps to ensure it is user friendly as far as setting up the printer, changing ink cartridges and using the scanner. It has a very nice touch display and an intuitive interface. I did use the HP Smart App on my phone which makes setting up the printer a breeze. I do have several printers I'm using right now, so I didn't sign up for automatic ink refills. I do understand the savings when you take advantage of the auto-ink and you can save a lot - I will probably take advantage of the auto-ink soon. Once you set up the printer, it is a seamless process to get the drivers for any particular PC you want to use. You do need to add the printer on Windows 10 and it will find it on your network easily. I am impressed with how solid the printer software is, including the HP Smart App - no glitches at all. I tried printing several rainbows and they all came out wonderful. I sometimes like to print a rainbow that fades out as it goes from one end to another and see how the printer does. This printer was excellent. It can print on legal size paper if you wish which is a very useful option I have found. It does not have a USB port to scan to, but I have found this option to be not critical for me - I just scan directly to the computer. I do highly recommend this printer as super quality in regards to build, easy to set up and very easy to use as a full function printer.

Very cheaply made!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I expected much more from HP! Literally took it out of the box and a hinge broke. Very slow and overall, couldn’t be more unhappy with a printer. Took it back and got something better.

What happened to HP?
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I cannot get the scanning function to work. The printing function is a little funky as well. Its not as reliable as my previous printers which were all Canon. Plus the ink purchases reminders are very annoying.

Posted .Hello there,
I’m sorry to hear that your printer’s scanning and printing functions are not working properly. Your review is relatively brief, but your disappointment is clear – and totally understandable – so I’ll offer some resources and information I hope will help.
First, I recommend you visit a page on our support site that has diagnostic tools for various problems. For scanning and printing, you’ll find on this page a general-purpose tool called the HP Print and Scan Doctor. If you use Windows, the tool will help identify and guide you through solutions to a wide range of common printing and scanning issues. Visit that page here:
- support.hp.com/us-en/topic/diagnostics
If any problem persists, I suggest that you contact us directly at +1 800-474-6836 so we can help you assess the situation and help you find a solution. (Please note that because of restrictions on personal movement and workplace attendance associated with the COVID-19 pandemic, wait times for agents are longer than normal. Thanks in advance for your understanding.) To expedite the process, I recommend gathering the following information before the call:
- Model number
- Serial number
- Your location
- Case number (from any previous contact with HP support)
I'll also mention that HP printers have a one-year warranty from their purchase date that covers hardware as well as ink supplies, so if it comes to that, you might consider making use of it. You can verify the warranty using the following link: support.hp.com/us-en/checkwarranty

Good for awhile

After the warranty expired it began printing in only black and yellow. Apparently it needs new printheads but they are not replaceable on this model.

Requires HP software
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The scanner does not work with the native MacOS "Bonjour" image capture software. Instead, you must download another piece of bloated HP crapware to get it work. Do better, HP.

||Posted . Owned for 6 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've had nothing but trouble from this printer. It has been used very little. Just replaced the ink cartridges with genuine HP products and now the cyan doesn't work. Lots of headaches with this machine.

I’m sorry to hear that your printer has developed print-quality issues after you installed new ink cartridges. I can understand why that would be an alarming discovery, so I’ll offer some information and resources that I hope will help.
HP has identified a manufacturing issue on specific production lots of supplies that can affect print quality issues like the one you describe, cause a cartridge-recognition error or both. HP recently released new firmware to help protect your printer from this.
You can resolve the problem by following the steps below:
1. Visit our official support site: support.hp.com
2. In the section called “Identify your product for manuals and specific product information” insert your printer’s serial number and click “submit.”
3. Scroll down and click the tile with “Are you having print quality issues or getting an incompatible cartridge message?”
4. Proceed as instructed.
If any problem persists, I suggest that you contact us directly at +1 800-474-6836 so we can help you assess the situation and find a solution. Great printer, sleek
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.HP Officejet Pro 8025 Comes in a small compact packing. The printer is protected by thick styrofoam and plastic. Upon opening there is a read me first document that explains how to set up and connect the device. The directions are rather simple being mostly images and few words.Images on how to insert the ink and that it is recyclable parts. The directions are the simplest I’ve seen. There is a qr code inside to download the app but i just looked it up. There is also a card with setting up a plan for ordering ink, printer and power supply. I don’t print enough to set up a plan i'm more of a person who scans documents in. The printer comes with the starter ink cartridges. Thankfully they are individual cartridges that can be replaced as needed one by one. The look is sleek and compact but does have a good amount of weight to it. The touch screen is responsive and makes thing easier. I started out by downloading the HP Smart app in the app store. It had some pretty promising reviews online. Once downloaded and accepting the terms it had a add option right on the home screen. The options within the app afterwards had print photos, scan to email, print facebook photos, ordering ink, print documents help and support and scan. Or another option to personalize the home screen. There was also a toolbar option on the bottom of the screen for home, scan, files and photos or settings. The app has a lot of options to use with the printer but it is not over complicated. It is a nice companion to the printer itself. The printer is pretty snappy. All in all its a print and it prints and scans as it should. It is well built and time will tell how long it will last. It is a great buy and you get good bang for your buck.
