    Good for Occasional Home Use

This printer is good for occasional home use. The print quality is OK, but not as good as my printer at my work. The printer prints and scans in color. I did have an issue with the scan to computer feature, but HP tech support told me that was due to an issue with their cloud service. The issue resolved itself the next day, and I haven’t encountered that problem since then. This device also faxes, although I haven’t tried out that feature yet. The only major negative is how expensive the printer cartridges are, and how often you have to replace them.

We really do not print much, so this is a perfect printer for us, though I am sure this is perfect also for those that do print more.

Great printer I always liked HP products I’m not too comfortable with the automatic ink mail but I have six months free. We’ll see what goes after that. Other than that I’m content.

My old printer was 8 years old so decided on this hp printer. Was on sale at the time. Set up was easy and straight forward. Printing quality is very good. I have a mac and it works well with it. My only request would be that hp put out a driver for linux machines.

Great value for the all in one printer. Wireless set was a breeze. All so manual set for my desk top was ok, might be a little difficult for a first time user.

One of the easiest wireless printers to set up. Set up to printing to about 15 minutes. Good quality fast printing. Works with my windows 10 PC and my IOS 14 devices.

Print quality is very good, it's easy to set up and it connected quickly to my Wifi network. It uses 4 separate ink cartridges that instally easily. You get about 300 or so pages per standard ink cartridge.

    Poor feeder

Pros; easy to use AirPrint, sits beautifully on desk, good quality pages, very good customer service. Cons: noisy, needs an account to really work well, feeder jams every 2 pages, granted papers were previously folded in letter style, the free ink program is confusing. Free Ink: I ended up canceling as I realized the free ink required me to make phone calls to initialize the ink tracking process after I enrolled. My PC account said it couldn’t read remaining ink days. That’s how the ink auto replenishes, The free ink apparently comes with a chip that communicates with my account about pages printed and ink levels. The app knew what the ink levels were. That same chip can be used to stop your prints once you leave the free ink program. The ink cartridges look like they need to be returned once empty and once the program ends. This was not for me. It doesn’t meet my needs, it took me some time to figure it out. I am outside the return policy.

    • Brand response from HP Team
      Posted .

      Hi there.

Thanks for the review and the description of your experience so far. While I’m glad you’ve found your printer easy to use and like its print quality as well as HP customer service, I’m sorry you’ve encountered trouble with the document feeder and our Instant Ink program. I want to help you understand what’s going on with the device and remedy the feeder issue. I hope the information and resources below will help.

First, I recommend you follow the steps in this guide to document feeders that pull through too many pages at once or fail to pick up paper at all:
      - support.hp.com/us-en/document/c01728503

You might also find it helpful to check out this support document regarding how to best store and handle paper to avoid jams:
      - support.hp.com/us-en/document/c04518237

Regarding Instant Ink, as you probably know, it’s a printing plan in which you choose the number of pages you would like to print monthly, and you are billed on a monthly interval. Replacement cartridges are shipped as needed based on usage. The cartridges let HP know this via the internet connection. Instant Ink is optional, and you can cancel if you find that it does not fit your needs. Once you do this, the Instant Ink cartridges will no longer work in your printer, but at that point you’re free to purchase cartridges from your preferred retailer at your convenience.

If the feeder problem persists or you want more information about Instant Ink, I suggest you contact us directly. HP+ printers such as yours come with exclusive concierge support. To call and reach live HP+ experts, visit the following URL and enter your HP+ serial number:

This All-in-One Printer/Scanner/Copier/Fax replaced a long used OfficeJet 8600 that worked flawlessly for many years. It was time for some new features, more efficient WiFi features, faster speed, smaller footprint and Instant Ink. I really am impressed with this amazing multifunction printer and all its capabilities. This device has better paper handling on duplex pages than the 8600 and I found the setup to be so simple including connecting to my iPhone. The Instant Ink feature is awesome, they keep you up to date on the status of any shipments and the printer truly "orders its own" ink when the time is right. Color is terrific. I am totally pleased with this purchase and highly recommend this device.

I love the ability to have a stack of sheets scanned in via the feeder or lift the lid to scan one item or a book. No problems with the paper feed and everything I've printed looks great. Quick and easy setup tops it off. I'd definitely recommend this.

Great, easy to use printer that works seamlessly with the iPhone app. I love being able to scan directly to my email or computer with just a few clicks. The print quality is better than the Canon we replaced. I would highly recommend this printer.
