    LOVE MY HP PRINTER

I love this printer! Doing so many things from my phone to print, using the HP Smart App, to even getting ink free the first 6 months is amazing . Not only that I don’t have to spend a lot of money on ink cartridges on my older HP. The packages they have based on how many times you print determines your monthly cost. I like that they will send it to you automatically (your address on file) when your starting to run low without you worrying and having to get to a store to buy ink. I love it!

Needed to replace my HP Photosmart 6250, which was a great home printer (the black printhead died). The 8025e has basically the same features except for the document feeder, that I will rarely use. I have opted to try the 6-mo. free ink and may buy the "pages per month" option after that. At the lowest rate, it is a lot cheaper than buying cartridges. Prints well, especially on draft, which saves ink. Works well with my iPhone 7. Be sure to pull out the paper stop where paper exits...I had pages shoot all over the floor before I realized it!

This was not our first choice for a home printer--because of high demand during the pandemic, choices were limited. However, we have always had great luck with previous HP printers, so when our first choice Epson Workforce All-in-one Inkjet was not available, we thought this HP would probably be fine. As soon as we started setting it up, we were disappointed in how flimsy some of the parts are (the paper tray, its cover and its extension), and how complicated it was to set up (especially with very poor instructions and documentation provided). It does make very good quality copies with good speed. However, it is time consuming to use the touch screen on the printer to select what type of copies to make, the screen font is very small, it is very, very noisy. We chose to use a wired connection to our desktop, and have not connected the printer to the Internet. Unfortunately, we missed the return deadline for this printer. We love our HP Envy desktop computer, but will think twice before we ever purchase another HP printer.

      Hi there.

Thanks for the review and the feedback. While I’m glad to hear that you like your printer’s speed and print quality, I’m sorry to hear that setup was so difficult and you’ve not found adequate instructional materials. I can understand why this would make for a bad first impression, so I’ll offer some resources and information I hope will help.

To learn more about your printer and all its features, or for help solving problems, you can access user manuals, how-to documents, software updates and troubleshooting guides here:
      - support.hp.com/us-en/product/hp-officejet-pro-8020-all-in-one-printer-series/24208622/model/24208623

You can also visit a page on our support site that has diagnostic tools for various tasks and problems, including connectivity, cartridge and paper jam issues. There you’ll also find a general-purpose tool called the HP Print and Scan Doctor. If you use Windows, the tool will help identify and guide you through solutions to a wide range of common printing and scanning issues. Visit that page here:
      - support.hp.com/us-en/topic/diagnostics

The noise problem you mentioned concerns me somewhat. If that continues, or you have any questions about anything, I hope you’ll contact us directly at +1 800-474-6836 so we can help you assess the situation and guide you through any applicable troubleshooting. (Please note that because of restrictions on personal movement and workplace attendance associated with the COVID-19 pandemic, wait times for agents are longer than normal. Thanks in advance for your understanding.) To expedite the process, I recommend gathering the following information before the call:

      - Model number
      - Serial number
      - Your location
      - Case number (from any previous contact with HP support)
