I have used HP printers exclusively for years and have always had great experiences both with the printer and with customer service when the need arose, however this time that is not the case. I have had non stop issues with this printer since I received it. Printer jams about every other print job, uses excessive yellow and red ink so it runs out to fast, and doesn’t communicate with HP instaink so I have to contact them weekly to send me ink. Originally HP was going to replace it under manufacturers warranty but a Best Buy rep online told me that would void my extended warranty through Best Buy so I didn’t allow them to replace it. I then spoke to a person at a Best Buy store and he said I could use the manufacturers warranty without voiding my Best Buy warranty only now HP won’t replace the printer. So now I either have to pay $50 for a new warranty or contact HP weekly (which I’ve been doing for over a month) for every issue that arrises with this defective printer and every time I need ink. Oh and it’s only 6mths of free ink and a $30 credit so if you’ve been with HP for quite awhile and use an ink plan higher than the minimum plan it will not equal 12 months free- you just can’t see that until you receive the box. My advice is if you do buy this printer, but the extra warranty but if it has any issues what so ever during the return window don’t contact HP, just return it directly to the store because HP will give you the run around until you can no longer return it without buying another warranty through Best Buy.

    Prints Great; Hard to Connect

I am very pleased with the printer itself. I have NOT tried to scan yet though. The only issue is that it is unnecessarily difficult to connect the printer to my laptop. The connection to my cellphone is fine. But rarely will I print from a phone.

Needed a new printer as my previous one was not working the way it was supposed to. Fortunately, I was able to pick this one up, prett quickly. They have not been readily available lately, I think, due to so many students and adults working from home. I have had no trouble with it at all.

It's an okay printer but I have a major issue with it. I often print two sided where the pages aren't sequential ex: page 1 and 3 but not 2 and 4. So I have to load the paper and then pull out the tray and load the paper again. But the blue paper cover hits the tray whenever I pull the tray out. The reason is the cover dips downward and won't let the tray clear it easily. For some that may not be an issue but for me it's a pain each time I have to print two sided. Otherwise the printer does what it's supposed to do.

I regret purchasing this printer. I only it bought it since I purchased the HP All in One Pavilion PC (that gets 5 stars). I had so many issues. I constantly either have to BYPASS the setup cartridges and/or I get a BIG BLUE screen with the 890074 error. I'm tired of re-entering English/USA each time. It says I need to be in HP Insta Ink to use and I am. It won't let me put the new cartridges in. I looked on the HP support community It is helpful at times

I bought Hp All-in-one printers over the years, and got little tired of having black color printers, even though my old still working great. Very easy to set up for a person like me who is not computer savvy. I like it, except wish the paper tray holds more papers.

I'M having hard time printing cards I make like my old printer. It came out upside down and when I was doing a printing project and jammed and started out from the beginning again. Otherwise does a decent job but uses a lot of ink fast.

I really like the aesthetic of this printer! And the instant ink is great for my needs. However after three weeks, the day after the Best Buy return period is over, the printer breaks! Error message saying the printerhead has an error. Because the printerhead is non removable, the only way to fix is to ask HP to service it. If only this printer was more reliable, I actually like this printer!

      Hi there.

Thanks for the review and feedback. While I’m glad you like the printer’s aesthetics and our Instant Ink program, I’m sorry to hear you’ve encountered a printhead issue. I can understand why that would be a great disappointment. With that in mind, I’ll offer some information and resources that I hope will help.

As you might already know, HP printers have a one-year warranty from their purchase date that covers hardware as well as ink supplies, so I hope you’ll consider making use of it. You can verify the warranty using the following link: support.hp.com/us-en/checkwarranty

I recommend that you contact us directly at +1 800-474-6836 so we can help you assess the situation and find a solution. (Please note that because of restrictions on personal movement and workplace attendance associated with the COVID-19 pandemic, wait times for agents are longer than normal. Thanks in advance for your understanding.) To expedite the process, I recommend gathering the following information before the call:

      - Model number
      - Serial number
      - Your location
      - Case number (from any previous contact with HP support)

We look forward to talking to you and making this right.

The Printer Setup was easy and it functions very well. As our last HP Printer functioned very well for the past ten (10) years, we expect nothing less with this Unit and it has started working in an excellent fashion. We are extremely pleased with the new Printer's performance.

I replaced another HP Printer I had and frankly, if I had the chance, I wouldn't do it again. This printer is very cheaply made. Literally everytime I go to open the print tray or to change ink, I feel like it's going to break. The HP Ink is a complete joke. It ends up costing you so much more than just buying the ink alone. Charging me for how many pages I print on my OWN paper that I bought is ridiculous and I'll never make that mistake again. 8 mo. free of HP Ink, right, 8 months of paying them for me to print on my paper, I think NOT. Highly disappointed with HP in general, other than their Laptop's, I will stick with their Laptops, just won't be buying an HP printer again.
