If the store wasn’t so far away, I would return it, directions are unclear, paper tray is flimsy, ink lasts no time and even with free ink you will have to buy some if you print pictures or much of anything else. I was out of ink 5 days before receiving it.

I’m sorry to hear that your printer has performed poorly for you. I can certainly understand why inadequate instructional materials, unsatisfying workmanship and rapid ink use would add up to a dreadful start to owning the device. With that in mind, I’ll offer some resources I hope will help you remedy the problems you face and get the most from the printer.

As for the rapid ink use, I can’t say for certain what happened in your case, but some printers come with what are known as setup cartridges, which have a lower capacity than regular or XL cartridges, and less yet than ones in our Instant Ink program. Another possibility is the printer is not reading the cartridges correctly and is giving an inaccurate reading.
