While your printer is powered up, it makes sure that the nozzles are regularly cleared, which can be noisy, especially if the printer is on a hard surface. I suggest you try placing the printer on a padded surface to muffle the vibrations that occur.

The HP is not as friendly as my last printer and faxing is hard as the numbers are to small. Also to print an envelope it is much more harder. I'll have to live with the changes but can't wait till this one gets a little older and then I'll go back to Brother printer.
