This computer has been a great purchase and for 5 years of using and gaming. I am very happy with it! I would recommend this computer, if not the updated version to anyone. Great price for great quality for sure. After 5 years it still runs great and I'm able to play every game I want to play.

I love their case design and the fact you can change lighting colors is awesome. I used to build my own PCs and the open sides with lighting was so cool to put together. I’m older now and having a higher quality PC like this again not only brings back great memories but looks fantastic sitting on my desk. Even the HP Omen logo color can be changed. The PC itself is so fast. Fasting booting computer I’ve ever laid my eyes on. Hard to believe it actually off and not just sleeping when you first turn it on. I’m sure this is due to the 256G SSD that Windows is installed on Windows updates didn’t even take long since they had a pretty current version already installed. I’ve spent hours in the past just upgrading Windows on a new PC. Not this time around. I was ready to game in 15 minutes or so. Hats off to HP for not just installing an early Windows 10 and leaving the rest for us. First thing I wanted to do was run 3D Mark (Time Spy) and it kicked it – 6141 on my first attempt with no tweaking. Can’t wait to see how high I can get this. I’m a little surprised it didn’t come with a DVD/ Bluray drive but I get it, everyone downloads their games nowadays. But being able install some of the games I still have on DVD will have to wait until I pick up an external at some point. Not a big deal though. Time to update my Steam account and get gaming again. Between the NVidia GTX 1660 ti and the 16 gigs of system RAM available for my other hobby, photo editing and the 1TB harddrive, this is perfect. The old rule still applies. Get a gaming PC and you can do everything else with it too. Even if you’re not a gamer. I’ll be enjoying this one for a long time. Easy access case for upgrades. I’ll probably being adding another hardrive first

I love this thing. It is very cool looking and fits in my entertainment center perfectly. It loads uo so fast and the output to my 4k tv is crystal clear. It plays content in hdr greatly and plays every game I have played on it in 1080p on ultra settings with at least 60 fps. The support for dolby atmos and dtsx is amazing too. It hooked up to my home theater with ease and plays all the surround formats with ease. This is a great PC and definitely a must have,

The Omen tower is a nice sleek black tower with red accent lighting. The acrylic panel gives a clear view of the inner workings. Fits in nicely with my home office setup, as par for the course, my printer and other devices are all the same matte black. There hasn't been a single game I've tried running that hiccuped, and I've got the rig hooked up to two screens. Windows 10 setup was quick and simple, and there was basically no bloatware on top of the usual pack-ins that Windows 10 ships with. A small negative would be, for a gaming rig, the included keyboard and mouse are pretty cheap, I guess they wanted to keep the extra costs to a minimum to not inflate the overall price. Most likely, if you're planning on gaming at all, you've got a good sensitive mouse already and aren't planning on maining the included wired HP mouse. If you were... just don't. I'm too far out of high school/college to have a computer with outlandish spikes and LEDs flashing everywhere in my office, so the flat panels and "obelisk" accent on the face of the tower are perfect. If you're the type that prefers a rig that screams, "I'm a gaming computer," then this probably won't light your fire aesthetically. For people who want high performance in a sleek, clean-cut, rig, look no further.

    Good but with limits

Bought this in 2019. In the first 6 months the 256GB SSD died in it. Fortunately HP sent me a replacement 256GB SSD (different maker Liteon) for free, which was a breeze to install. Finding memory upgrades for it have been a challenge, but I finally ran across some HyperX Fury (hx426c16fb/16) memory that works well with it and supports the MB required CL19 timing. Sadly, this case has NO DVD drive slot, and only room for 1 extra HDD besides the included 1 TB drive. Overall, this has been a good computer, despite it's design flaws. 4Stars due to limited memory upgrade selections, and the SSD failure.

..Starfield. This rig ran every game I could throw at it flawlessly for all these years! I only added some RAM,all other original components have run perfectly for years! I was gifted the newest Bethesda game, and that was the limit, this rig then began running hot, BUt now makes awonderful office PC AND upgraded to Windows 11 without any trouble!

I have nothing wrong to complain about here except for the junk mouse and keyboard included, why even include it? Nobody buys a gaming PC and purchases the cheapest keyboard and mouse they can buy, just leave it out. The computer however paired with the HP Omen X 25 monitor is fantastic. Runs anything you toss at and keeps cool and quiet. The accent lighting is great and changeable. HP is really upping their game these days. I am typing this review on my HP Envy x360 Convertible and have enjoyed this laptop immensely. I get new laptops every year for work but still prefer jumping on my Envy, and I've had some impressive machines. Still prefer my HP Envy. You will not be disappointed unless you were buying this for a keyboard and mouse haha.

I was very pleased with this computer. The setup was very easy and it performs surprisingly well for a budget machine. The design and overall craftsmanship is above expectations. It does not feel cheap. The RGB lighting is great especially for an OEM machine. It has great control software. The system is great for someone who needs a pc for programming or power user but not necessarily the highest gaming graphics. The only thing that I would recommend is upgrading the system memory but fortunately HP made that very easy. It you want to game at the highest level then you will want to pay for the better video card and that should come with a slightly better power supply.

At first glance the box is deceiving. Box is Huge weighing in at 27lbs. But upon unboxing not much to it. Why HP included a basic keyboard and mouse confused me. When paired with the HP Omen X 25f monitor then its a beast titan of a machine. KEY FEATURES 9th Generation Intel Core i7 Processor (8 Cores / 8 Threads). This is an octa-core processor without hyper-threading, operating at 3.0GHz, 4.7GHz in Turbo mode. nVidia GTX 1660Ti Video Card 16GB Kingston HyperX DDR4 RAM +1 Open Expansion Slot 256GB Western Digital SSD + 1TB Western Digital 3.5” HDD Gigabit Ethernet and 802.11ac Wireless Ports: 6 USB 3.1 Ports (Gen 1), Headphone, Mic, and Speaker jacks (3.5mm) Windows 10 Home 64-bit HP as gotten a lot better on the gaming side, with a few exceptions.

Overall I have been happy with this setup. Everything works like it should and it has held up to its performance rating. I haven’t had any issues with FPS drops on any of the games I play so far and I’m playing games like world of Warcraft, battlefield, overwatch, and several other games. I’m using a Samsung 65” Qled 4Ktv as my monitor and I’m able to play my games with no lag or FPS drops. Negatives but doesn’t bother me enough to drop my rating No disk drive - would be nice to have a Blu-ray player but I knew from the beginning this rig did not have one. The hyper x 16gb ram stick has been hard to duplicate. I’ve been looking to upgrade to 32gb. But I can’t find the exact ram or anything that will work with it. And finally the included keyboard and mouse are not great quality. Including a nice keyboard with lite up keys and a nice gaming mouse would go a long way toward someone’s final decision on buying this system. Just my opinion though.

Really great machine. Bought this as an engineering student who needed something capable of running design software (AutoCAD) and can run games on the weekend (Call of Duty, Apex Legends, Fortnite) . This pc is very capable. I ended up adding some more storage ( 2TB SSD) because this does have the empty slot for expansion if you so choose down the line which I loved. The glass panel is really cool. There is no optical drive, so keep that in mind when you purchase this. Plenty of usb ports on the back (I think 4 total plus the two in front) , connects to monitor via HDMI or DP i believe

This computer has decent specs but lacks the capability to cool itself. It says you can upgrade to liquid cooling and, theoretically, you can but you'd have to take the whole motherboard out which is a pain and not recommended if you don't know 100% what you're doing. As it comes, this CPU hit 97C when playing the new Call of Duty. I turned settings down, it was the only thing open, it was still in the 90s. With an extra fan it was in the mid to high 80s. Completely unacceptable temperatures for a brand new $1250 computer. There isn't enough room in the case to update to the most recommended cpu coolers for the processor it comes with and even if there were you'd still have to take the motherboard out to replace the bracket. Pros: Absolutely great branding. Fun lighting. HP omen center monitors your computer natively. Cons: everything else. Case has poor airflow. There is only one exhaust fan and the CPU cooling fan. You can only get into one side of the case. Way too high of temperatures. (If you think this is no big deal please do some more research. You'll be paying more, in the end, to try and update something that you shouldn't have to be updating out of the box.) I returned it and bought an iBuyPower machine that is about $50 more with a way better graphics card. The new machine is working well. I'd skip this one entirely unless you only want to do maybe some minor photo editing or play minecraft or something. It would be a nice computer, the cooling is just nonexistent (and LOUD). If you are comfortable with upgrading, maybe go for it if you find it on a really good sale.
