Lightweight, great storage capability, big screen. Hard to beat at this price point. Had an optical drive built in which is getting harder to find. Hdmi output. Purchase was for a business and the employee was an older lady and she needed simple. Fit the bill perfect. She didn't need touchscreen. She didn't need a laptop tablet mix. She loves it because it's familiar to what we replaced only faster, more storage and lighter with a long battery life. The only reason it's a 4 and not a 5 was the OS is not as friendly as it should be. Edge browser and the OS layout. Win10.

This laptop is pretty simple, it wasn't a first choise but more of a third choice. It's incredibly big and it took me a bit to get used to. The tb of space is plenty enough if you want to use this laptop long term, the i5 processor is excellent for speed, I haven't tested it out for gaming (i.e. Sims, Minecraft or Fallout 4) but guaranteed it does make a noise on and off if you use it heavily. The big screen is a lot to take in if you're used to a 15 inch screen for most of your life but it is possible to quickly accommodate to it. However, the downside to this is that you might not be able to open it on an airplane if you have to take it with you. Also, the battery life lasts for about a couple of hours maybe 4 to 5 at most, but when you hit 8% it'll shut off. Overall in all, this laptop is great if you're interested in something that can handle everyday and occasional game usage.

I've had this laptop for about a month now and, so far, I'm very happy with it. I'm still adjusting to the keyboard and touchpad but the performance is excellent and I really love the 17" screen. The CD/DVD drive seems a bit flimsy, so I'm hoping it holds up but, at least it came with one- so many I looked at don't even have one. Overall, I'm very happy and would recommend this laptop to others. Best Buy's price was the best I found and the shipping was prompt as well.

I bought this laptop as an update to an older Dell laptop I had for eight (8) years. I decided to try a HP laptop since I have always had good luck with Hewlett Packard equipment. They are made solid and I have never had a brake down in the past. I went with the HP Pavilion because of the screen size and clarity (starting to develop poor eyesight) and the newer intel processor. All software seem to install easy enough and files transferred over without a glitch. Only real problem (and this is on a personal level) is that the some of the keys are hard to use. I find the arrow keys (up and down) are to small and the function keys are small making them hard to "hit" when typing. Also the keyboard is somewhat hard to use (too use to my old keyboard and trying to adjust to this new one). The sound is great with the speakers provided and a neat to watch movies or to do gaming on during leisure time. Time will tell how well this laptop will hold up. Hopefully for another 8 years.

I bought the HP - Pavilion 17.3 Laptop - Intel Core i5 - 6GB Memory one month ago and it is an excellent laptop. The screen is huge! I use it primarily for writing and web surfing, so I can't speculate how this laptop would be for a gamer, but for my needs, it is perfect. The only minor complaint is that it does not have a lighted keyboard (subtle lighting under the keys for use in dark locations). Other than that, this laptop is excellent.

Replaced my other HP 17" with this one. Windows 10 is not great but no choice really. I do not use many of the features--edge, apps, cortina--but I am using it for basics--email, FB, typing. Love the screen size. LP is heavy but OK for me. Regarding software, 10 does not work with lots of old software or security. Before buying new software, verify it will run. Malwarebytes is good so far. Other software still struggling to be compatible. If you are app-happy and gadget-prone, it is made to connect all your needs.

Bought this so I could store photos on the hard drive and print them from there. Works great with photoshop and now I can edit and print photos - something that was impossible to do with my HP Chromebook. Plus it is very fast - almost as fast as my Chromebook which is lightning fast....Also love the large and bright screen which is great for printing and editing photos. And priced reasonably at Best Buy. Also added Geek Squad Plus should any problems arise in the next 3 years.

I love this laptop. I love the big screen. I love the speed. Excellent ease of setup. I am still getting used to this mouse without the left/right click buttons though, but I am used to the professional hp versions from work. The laptop is so much lighter, brighter, and bigger than other laptops I have owned. Battery has a decent life. I haven't had a single problem with this laptop. I've owned it for about a month now. I highly recommend it!

I bought this laptop for my son to do his homework. Given that he has access to computers at school, we didn't buy this laptop for him to carry around with him. It is a very nice big screen - making it somewhat difficult to lug around. We love this computer and the price was great!! We couldn't be happier. He thinks it's great to have a larger screen so he doesn't spend hours straining his eyes and he hasn't had any problems with it at all.

This was a gift for my wife to replace our old PC. She absolutely loves it. The larger screen is a hit as is the DVD drive for watching movies. She has gotten used to the updated Windows system (which takes a while) but I haven't heard one complaint. Navigating the Internet is supper fast as its downloading programs. I would recommend and purchase again.

Nice laptop. Feels huge but it's not that heavy. My only real complaint is the up and down arrow keys are actually one key split in half. I use these keys more than I ever realized and it drives me nuts because I keep reaching up for the up arrow and I end up hitting shift. Otherwise it's handled every one of my demands with ease.

I and my sister's children jointly purchased this laptop for my youngest sister. She is not too computer literate but has had no problems using it. She has lots of help from grandchildren and her kids who do know computers. She is a book reader and avid player of Hidden Object games. The speed and clarity of this laptop are great for her and she is loving it. Never used Windows at all and 10 is proving no problem.

I knew what I was buying, THE SCREEN IS HUGE! TOO Big for normal use but if you want a laptop that has a big screen to enjoy video or photo editing, This machine is your choice. Windows 10 is fast on this machine.

The laptop has a large screen. The computer has Windows 10. It has 3 USB ports and an HDMI port. The power is impressive with an Intel Core processor. The clarity is amazing with HD+. The speaker sound is clear with plenty of available volume. Lastly the laptop was reasonably priced to sell.

Laptop is the right size. Big enough to see screen with no problems. Hard drive large enough that I should not run out of space for quite awhile. Easy to use keyboard. Everything seems to be working fast with no problems.

I bought this laptop after looking for something that wasn't too expensive, was fairly current, had a large hard drive, a large-ish size screen, and a 10-key. This one hit all the marks and had features that other laptops didn't. Windows 10 is beautiful, the laptop runs smoothly, and the screen is HUGE! I just love this laptop and I look forward to fully customizing it to make it my own. I've already removed all of the non-sense that comes pre-loaded like the games. No complaints to date..

Bought this for my wife to use as her daily use laptop. With the Intel I5 Processor, 6GB of RAM and a 1TB HD it does a great job as a daily use laptop. At just a tad over 6lbs, it's easy to pick up and carry around with you and does not get hot or uncomfortable sitting on your lap while surfing the Internet, reading email or doing MS Office tasks. The wireless connection works well and the keyboard is really nice to type on. I have read other reviews that stated they don't like the keyboard, but I actually feel it's one of the better laptop keyboards out there. The keys have a nice 'click' or 'tactile' feel to them and the build quality overall is really good. It will be a solid computer for several years now!!
