I purchased the HP to replace my 6 year old tower - also a HP. Unfortunately the computer crashed twice in the first week and would not go to a restore point, which I had set up in advance - just in case. I had to go back to factory settings both times. Ended up returning it and bought something else.

I bought this five days ago. Everything is good about the computer except Internet runs kind of slow. I have too other old computers, one is HP and other is Toshiba, but this New HP internet browsing is slower than my other two . I am giving two star since internet in the most important for me and that is slow. I will be returning this computer.

    Worst I've Ever Owned

I have owned a few PCs in my day and this is by far the worst I've ever owned. Blue screen of death occurs frequently - four to five times a day when watching videos. There is clearly a driver issue. I have researched and tried various solutions to no avail. This is unacceptable for a PC that is less than nine months old. Additionally, even on my high speed connection, it is very sluggish. Avoid at all costs.

Fine for every day, but terrible for gaming

Went into our local store intent on buying a new computer that could handle World of Warcraft. Was upfront with the salesman, and he advised that the computer could handle the load on the medium settings (which was the minimum of what I was wanting). But it did not handle it at all. Even on the LOWEST possible settings, this computer lagged bad to the point where the entire thing locked up, and had to be completely restarted. However, it works just fine for every day internet browsing, and playing around on the web.

Looking for something reasonably priced with some performance, this system is a total letdown. My 5 year old laptop outperforms this system out of the box. Clunky and slow. I was about to yell at my internet service provider for a slow connection. I will be returning this product. Also, I now see the same system (3 days later) for $50 cheaper. Im done

Network hardware does not support gigabit.

Hard to believe that anyone would be selling a PC in 2015 without supporting gigabit, but HP is! Spent days trying to figures out why this new PC was only showing 95/95 on my 150/150 FIOS internet connection. Very disappointed!

This computer is extremely slow. Even when typing it doesn't keep up with my key strokes. It goes to sleep in less than a few seconds of inactivity. I have tried to increase the time but with no luck. I am hoping that I will be able to exchange this computer.

This one is a piece of garabage. The pc I'm replacing, which is 7 years old, run far better than this. The wireless card that comes with this piece of junk is soo weak, can't even open google. Save yourself some time returning this thing back.

System Crashed after only 1 year 3 months

The computer worked great and showed no signs of having any issues up until it completely crashed. Went to turn it on after only having it for 1 yr. and 3 months and the hard drive had crashed. Talked with hp directly and they have the worst technical support and told me I had to buy a new hard drive from them which would cost almost as much as what I had bought the computer originally for. Will never buy HP again.

I bought this HP desktop thinking it would be a great computer. Everyone had told me how great HP was and my dad has an old HP laptop that is great. This desktop was a disappointment the moment I turned it on. It is extremely slow to navigate through the internet and I only go to a couple of automotive forums, weather forums and Facebook. It is much slower than the recently crashed Gateway I replaced it with. Also the mouse will go way to the left/right and vanish, the screens will lock up, you can click on desktop and it will just set there like you are not clicking anything and it will only show a green screen when a video tries to play. I am definitely taking it back for a refund/exchange. I wish I had of be warned it had a low-end processor was a slow computer. I even called Geeksquad to see if they could help and when I clicked on the link to let them remote in, the screen would go black and they said for me to take it back to Best Buy. If you are used to a computer with decent speed, do not replace it with this one. Also I wasn't told it had a built-in unit where I didn't have to plug it up to get the internet and I had to do a lot of moving around in my bedroom, which was not necessary.

    Not what I expected

Having had HP Pavilion computers in the past I was expecting the same great performance and reliability, however I have been let down. I have had to call HP twice to get videos to play (green screen) and the computer freezes occasionally. I have had it less than 6 weeks and everyday is a new bad experience. I don't know if it's the computer or Windows 8.1 but HP says they have this problem quite often. Every time I call HP support they just want me to extend my warranty....at a price. If I don't ever get this computer working correctly the longest warranty in the business won't be worth much. I would suggest you look elsewhere for that new desktop. I wish I had.

This is the worst computer I've ever had. It STINKS. It still doesn't work as well as my HP with Windows 7. Worst computer ever purchased at Best Buy.
