||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This was a replacement for the first one ordered. Excellent PC!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is hands down the best PC I have ever bought. I typically purchase a new PC every 2 years, but here we are 3 1/2 years later and it's still running like new.

"Magnificent Device!"
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Truly a phenomenal unit, in everyday use now for nearly 3 years and continues to perform flawlessly, with supreme reliability to complete any task with absolute perfection! Security is provided by Malwarebytes and McAfee (in tandem) with timely Windows updates of course. Kudos to HP for their very fine product for which I have a back-up, new/never used HP Slimline 290 on hand, just in case my front-line 595 model experiences any downtime. Previously, my 1st HP product was their ENVY h8-1534 that had served me very well for 6+ years of daily heavy-duty use, prior to its demise. Well, when the need arises, one certainly can count on HP for a surefire, trusty Desktop!

Underpowered
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. While the specs look good for this system, it's what they don't tell you that causes the system to drag. The wireless mouse and keyboard are a nice extra. But they're very laggy. Don't let their addition seal the deal for you. You'll probably want to replace them. The real issue with this system is the power supply. It's only 180 watts (which is mentioned nowhere on the description page) and very few even entry level video cards can run on that. So, if you're planning on adding a decent video card, plan on replacing the power supply at the same time. So far, everything else in their description has been accurate.

Excellent choice in a Desktop
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My son loves its ease of use, capacity and speed. He had his own 27" monitor and has been very pleased with the Bluetooth capability. The whole package was well worth his delight and appreciation for this new addition to his home based work.

HP 595-p0084 computer
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Got this computer before Christmas 2018, first one was a dud, nothing worked, even the cd-rom. took it back. Got the second one and it acted like the first one. Then I installed Norton Utilities. It found over 12,000 hard drive and registry issues. Now mind you this came from HP with these issues. So I ran Norton Utilities software and it fixed and resolved all of the issues. So Norton did it's job. I was frustrated that it had this many issues, I have never had a HP computer like this. Contacted HP about this and the (overseas) CS person said she would give me a case number and someone would contact me. Well it's been 8 weeks now and no one from HP has CONTACTED ME. That being said, overall this is a good, faster computer than my older ( i7 ) computer, If you know how to change downloads to the D drive instead of the C drive and not eat up the C drive SSD which is small and goes quickly, then this is NOT for you. If not, don't buy. I give it four stars only for it's better CPU speed than my last ( i 7) one. but disappointed in HP. Best Buy is awesome , but souring on HP, for good reason. Hope this helps. It's a good price but it has issues.

Be prepared to buy your own keyboard & mouse
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Within a few weeks, the keyboard and mouse were lagging, triple-typing, and generally malfunctioning. Some googling demonstrated this is a common issue with this wireless combined set. I acted on my three-year warranty. After 45 minutes on the phone with a tech, he finally had test results to prove that they did not work. But the parts dept was closed so they'd have to call me back the next day. They didn't so I called them. After another 45 minutes, delivery of my new keyboard & mouse was arranged. It really felt like they were dragging it all out so I'd give up. The parts arrived, exact same problem. Now HP techs were calling me but I wasn't going to go through another 1 1/2 for delivery of one more crappy keyboard/mouse. So just be prepared to buy your own, another $75. It seems like a simple fix on their part to ensure the goodwill of their customers...

Great Computer (but defective mouse)
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So far, I am immensely please with this computer. For heavy-media web browsing, video streaming, file transferring, and non-gaming app running, it is wonderful. Easy set-up, and a user-friendly "box" design. The fact that it came with a new keyboard and mouse was unexpected. The keyboard is awesome, but the mouse was missing its USB receiver plug...

Disappointing
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It is LIGHTNING FAST.... BUT!!!! I bought it early December 2018,for $580 and already had to send it in to have the CD/DVD drive repaired. The 'new' drive is not any better. The front panel USB drives are under-powered, The HP keyboard has its own functions different from usual Windows commands: F2 used to be a RENAME key, now it is a volume control key. There are more like this one. This may be an agreement between HP and Microsoft. A PRINT key (why????) is placed awkwardly close to Backspace key, It now sells for almost a $1,000, I won't buy it again even for $300, and definitely NOT recommend this PC.

Really unhappy
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After spending many days moving all my data to the new computer, I find that my QuickBooks programs will not open. I spent 3 hours on the phone with them troubleshooting and the final result is that there is an issue with the computer. I called HP and spoke with someone in another country, with lots of other foreign voices in the background, and they said the only option was for me to speak to another representative that would charge me for speaking to them. The person I was speaking with had apparently never heard of QuickBooks and said it had to be their issue. I am a QuickBooks ProAdvisor and have worked with them since their first version. They did their part, but HP is not willing to check things out without charging me more money. I will now be paying a computer technician to come and try to fix it.

NOT HAPPY
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Computer is 34 days old and has been shutting down multiple times a day for thermal protection. Today it seemed to shut down for no apparent reason and failed to restart for over 30 minutes. This computer is running my business and Best Buy Battle Creek says it will likely have to be sent out and usually takes 2 weeks. No way is that possible for my situation...no computer, no business! Time to try a different brand and store :(

Frustration from the beginning
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This would maybe be a four and half star product EXCEPT, I've had nothing but problems with wireless keyboards and mice. The mouse that came with the computer refuses to work. My two other backup mice work....until they decide not to work anymore. I switched my main mouse over from another HP computer that had zero problems with the mouse. The wireless and wired keyboards usually freak out after a few days and require ridiculous amounts of effort to get working again. Another strike is the SSD is too small at 128gb. It's already almost full after one week of installing apps. Games and data go onto the main HDD, but I had to order at 256gb m.2 SSD to avoid future problems.

Trash
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this computer and i had to return and exchange it twice. This product has an issues with loading Windows. The first day i use it. It told me there was an issues with windows and to do recovery. Come on now HP this is the 2nd product that I bought brand new that is having an issue with Windows. Ive been to best buy like 4 times to get this straightened out. But ive come to the conclusion that this product is just trash. And ill be exchanging it for the dell that is just like it.
