Good laptop, bad design
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Had this laptop for 11 months. The laptop is good, but some of the issues are unacceptable. The fan on this things gets so loud and sometimes gets overwhelmed for no reason. It wasn't too big of a deal. About 3 months into me owning the laptop, certain keys on the left side of my screen stopped working. I can't use the O, L, or 9 keys. Then, the hinges started coming loose about 2 months ago and pop everytime I'd open the laptop, no matter how careful I was. Yesterday I opened it while it was on and the screen popped and went black. Now when I turn it on it stays black... At this point im done trying to fix it which is sad bc other than design, it's a good laptop. Going for Dell next time.

Do Noit Buy Any Pavilion Laptop, you will be sorry
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The software in this laptop is fine, the problem is the hinges. Depending on your usage, in a year or two, the hinges will break. Unless you bought the warranty, you will either have to pay $400 to repair it or buy a new computer. This is also true of the envy model. Don't believe me? Ask any computer repair place.

Pro and Cons
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It's very nice but 4GB of ram is not good it lags a lot on homeschooling but overall it's a very good laptop because its touch- screen and has a nice keyboard and runs a few games and would recommend it.

Only good for a year or so
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bough two of these laptops little over a year ago. If you are looking for solid laptop that will last you a year, go for it. Opening 5 tabs on google will slow this down so much. only good for light stuff such as gmail, youtube, or microsoft word.

Please read if you are about to buy this computer
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This computer is one of the worst computers money can buy. I bought this about one year ago for school. I got home and opened the box. Inside was this tiny computer that I didn’t know would barely work. Now for a laptop at $300, it’s not terrible. But the processing speed is terrible. You need to have at least 2ghz of processing speed which makes this a piece of garbage. It only has 4gb of RAM, and if you need to do anything for school or work, 8gb is barely enough, let alone 4. Now about the graphics card, if you plan to play any games you must be out of your mind. The graphics run nearly 40fps at most with drawing games. DONT BUY THIS FOR GAMES. Then we have the pretty cool modes. Because you can put the computer into tablet mode and other functions that use touch screen is pretty cool. Besides the modes, this computer is really bad and should never be bought again. In my opinion, if you have around $300-$400, spend it on a chrome book instead. They usually have better everything.

Horrible! Would not recommend for college students
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this laptop February of 2018 and from the moment I opened the box it was slow, loud, and a waste of $500. The power/set up took forever and the device ran slower than my 2012 cheap HP laptop. When powered on the screen is unresponsive and the laptop would chug for a good 10 minutes before it became usable. After a couple times I stopped powering it off and just left it on sleep mode. The sound it makes while I’m on chrome is horrid; it sounds like rocks are inside the laptop. The screen quality is HORRIBLE!!! Just recently the speakers stopped working and I did something that fixed it but I just updated to windows 10 and the speakers stopped working again and I don’t know what to do. If you’re a student, like me, and you’re looking for a “cheap” laptop look elsewhere PLEASE. Maybe invest in a MacBook Air and I promise you it’ll last you longer than this.

Bad wifi adapter
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this laptop a little over a year ago. I have trouble connecting to the wifi on and off. Two weeks ago the computer couldnt pick up wifi so i reset the wifi adapte, reinstalled the drives, and restarted the laptop. That did not fix the problem. I ended up having to take the battery out and put it back to reset the wifi adapter. Had to do that again this morning for the same problem. Got wifi working for now... but its unreliable... i do not reccomend buying this laptop. Its very inconvient to take the battery out this frequenty for it to work.

HP Laptops = Repairs
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Shortly after purchasing we had to ship to HP Repair Center where they "said" a new hard drive was installed. Upon return it still didn't work. (Originally, my spouse spent 3 attempts on chat with HP Customer Service.) But now we need to send it back a 2nd time as the selected boot device fails. How can a brand new laptop be so defective/unusable? We had to purchase a Surface Pro 6 Bundle & it's perfect.

DO NOT GET IT
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased this computer and it was broken. Tech told me I would get back in 3-5 days. Returned computer over 1 month later and still not working correctly. This is my second time that this has happened when I purchased a HP computer. Will NEVER BUY ONE AGAIN>

very poor performance
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought laptop because it looked good size for me. It is tiny and easy to carry. But, later I found that it has very poor performance . It is very slow. I have been regretting buying this laptop. I spent my money in vain. Finally, I ended up buying another laptop. If anyone is buying laptop, please spend little bit more and buy a good one which will be useful for long.

Hinges Break
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The hinges break. My laptop was used at home only. After about one and half years the hinges broke. HP won't stand by their product. I will never buy another HP product. Research this issue online because it is a big deal.
