I have had a lot of frustration with this HP Pavilion x360 2-in-1 11.6".. I bought it because I needed a Laptop that was windows to run software training programs for my job and maybe do some work for my MBA classes on the go. Well it likes to turn to the background image after it a few minutes of not using it. A LOT OF TIMES it likes to go to this screen and not allow you to hit enter, touch the screen, or do anything to enter your pin/passcode. Very frustrating if you need to start the computer up fast in different situations. Do not recommend unless you have a lot of patience and are doing VERY minimal workloads on this device. Touch screen is OK.. not the best. Screen size is small, but that's what you get for the price.. Wishing I spent more and got a quality laptop. Would consider myself a tech savvy younger professional and this just is not it. Chrome Book would be a better bet for the price.

I'm sorry to hear that you've had a disappointing experience with the performance of your laptop thus far. I can imagine how frustrating it must be when you expected a quick response time and don't feel you're getting what you need.
As far as the time it takes to revert back to the background screen, this can be adjusted in the settings. You might also look into your current configuration regarding the display and touchscreen issues.
