    Won't boot properly

The first boot of the machine initiated a repair of the drive. It then entered a 15 minute or longer boot loop. Once it was finally on after restarting it twice, the functionality was limited. After another restart it went to another boot loop showing the Just a movement screen. At this point I am 45 minutes into trying to get the computer to boot and work and still no dice.

    Beautiful but flawed

This is without doubt a stunning looking laptop; more a work of art than a work tool. Its performance is excellent; exactly what I was expecting and the 4k screen fabulous. So, you may be wondering why I only gave it 2 stars.... Well, the big and insuperable flaw, and the reason I returned it, is that when I went into disk management to create a separate partition for my data, the space available after shrinking the C partition was - wait for it - 207gb, and this on a 512gb SSD.. So the OS is taking up nearly 300gb??? My data is 252gb, so there was no way this laptop was usable. On my Win7 laptop, the C drive is 78gb, so why does Win10 need 300gb??? Very disappointed.

    Useless

After reading other reviews I can only assume that my computer is defective. I get zero battery life. Remarkably, the battery drains even when it is turned off. I of course charged the battery when I bought it, unplugged it, and the next day the battery was dead! I thought I did something wrong (forgot to turn it off, whatever), but it happens every time. I've owned this computer for 5 months and it is useless as a portable device because I have to always leave it plugged in. Otherwise this would be a very good computer, light weight and fast.

    Not as advertised

The laptop works well except for the fact that it could not connect to the pen it came with. It's advertised as having pen support and all the drivers are up-to-date indicating pen support, but after an extensive discussion with an HP rep, apparently this particular model laptop doesn't have the firmware to support the HP active stylus. Do not buy this particular model if you're expecting it to work with the pen it comes with right out of the box.

Does not work with external monitor

This laptop does not work with an external monitor when the lid is closed. The lower right hand tool bar continually updates and the laptop processing slows down after an hour needing rebooted. I tried with multiple monitors and HDMI cables to the same result. HP's response - purchase an HP monitor to resolve compatibility issues.

Returned for repairs 3 times in 6 months

While I generally like the design, compactness and power of this computer, the quality just plain sucks. I've had to return it twice because the charge connector stopped working and once because I had a huge section of dead pixels on the screen.
