The only weakness is battery life which lasts about 4-5 hours of constant use. The USC C charger is small and easy to keep with you.

I plan to use this laptop for school. I really love the 360 screen and the lightness and design of the laptop. I would recommend this for those who are art students or professionals who want to really use a nice laptop for drawing or doing notes. If you get the 4K screen the battery life averages to ~5 hours

I wasn't sure if I wanted the 13 or 15" but since I use it for work I went with the smaller lighter laptop. Super light, great screen and more power than I need right now but I wanted something that in 5 years will still be a good laptop. I am surprised at some of the fan noise reviews, I barely hear it and would rather a cool laptop than an over heating silent one. Love the purchase!

I considered the Yoga, the Surface Book (which I've owned before), and the Dell XPS. Decided to go for the HP because of connectivity, cost, and performance. I ended up returning this one and buying a different one with the FHD (lower resolution) screen, and I've been happy with that one. So, here's why I returned this one: 1) the Intel 620 graphics and the Kaby Lake don't seem to get along so well in all situations. My laptop had what I can refer to as screen jitters. Nothing fixed it... driver updates, BIOS updates, turning off some things in the BIOS, etc. I researched it for a week and took it back to Best Buy who said it was a known issue with no fix. 2) The 4K resolution on a 13" screen is wasted. It just consumes more battery power while looking impressive on paper. I did a side-by-side comparison between the 2 resolutions, and the 4K looked a LITTLE better. I bought it at first because the open box model was cheaper than a new FHD laptop. So, I leave you with one fact and one opinion... FACT: as of October 2017, these models still struggle with screen problems. If it happens to you, return it for another one. OPINION: The 4K resolution on a 13" screen is not worth it. Aside from that, I agree with the other positive comments here. One other note: if your HP Spectre's battery is draining overnight, there is something wrong with it! Call HP. The battery on my FHD Spectre (not the 4K one) lasts 2-3 weeks with daily usage before I need to recharge.

Overall amazing computer and extremely mobile. The 4k display is great for windows scale. Although not necessary for image/video quality at this screen size, the additional windows real estate is very nice. Specs are amazing, and the only downside is the battery life, which is expected with the 4k display. Also would have liked the option to have the Iris graphics.

I love how light and thin this laptop is. It's also very beautiful and it runs all of my softwares for my college classes really well (engineering softwares: matlab, solid works, etc). The only problem is that it does get pretty warm, but I mostly use it on a desk so I'm not too worried. Overall, it's great for those who want a slim laptop with good specs.

Compact & Light for High Performance

I got this laptop specifically for the additional features it offers such as the ability to fold the screen back, touch screen, 4k,and can read with included stylus (any other stylus as well) which is great for those interested in digital graphic artist/design (myself). Although there are cheaper options(other laptops) for the specs that this one has, as an Ultrabook and those additional features, it's pretty worth it because of that. I was in between this and the 15" version of this laptop with the NVIDIA graphics card since that would be better for gaming as opposed to this one, but I sampled the weight in store of the 15" version and it's much heavier. And not so great for portability. This laptop fits in a small backpack as well and so far I really like it. Although it maintains heat of 70+ below the laptop and the screen can feel too warm to the touch in the center towards the bottom, it functions normally and fine. And with peripheral options to buy usb-c to HDMI and etc, it's fine for this laptop. I recommend buying if you're in the market for touchscreen + stylus capability. Also the integrated graphics card is assisted by the extra RAM this has so it can run pc games maybe just not at the high specs but probably good enough.

Although I do love my two in one I do find that I use it more for a laptop than a tablet which is fine I might need the tablet mode when I start more design classes. The computer is great though runs fast doesn't heat up to quickly battery last pretty long. The only thing that I don't like about it is Everytime I close it for an hour it turns off and I have to turn it back on instead of going into sleep. It's not a problem because it runs and starts up quickly just noticed that happening

I've had this 2 in 1 for several weeks and have found it extremely snappy, very fast at startup, and both the pen and keyboard are very responsive. It feels extremely solid and well-built, though it feels perhaps a little heavier than its listed weight. You will want to make sure that you keep a good handle on it, because the aluminum exterior can be slippery. The 4K screen is simply gorgeous. You can definitely tell the difference over the 1080p.

I love nearly everything about this laptop. Great display, fast, handles everything I need. My one complaint, and it's a big complain, is the overheating issue. I have researched all ends of the internet to find a solution and it appears to be an issue with too much thermal compound under the heat sink, which prevents heat from dissipating. With casual internet browsing, the laptop heats up to over 150°F. YouTube causes it to reach temperatures as high as 220°F! The heat issue makes it uncomfortable to use on my lap and I'm concerned about the longevity of the laptop. I tweaked a couple settings to tone down the CPU usage and now it ranges from 100°F - 150°F. Still not ideal, but I will seek repair of the heat sink soon.

It's feature-rich, powerful, easy to use with everything in the right place. The only additions I'd suggest to HP is an HDMI port & more powerful graphics processor, as in the 15 inch model. After considerable research and reviewing of professional reviews, I agree that this is the best convertible PC available. I hope it's competitively priced when it's 8th gen version is available for purchase at the end of October 2017.
