It has the size of a 12” MacBook but the performance of a MacBook Pro and the build quality of an Apple product. But I am not a fan of Windows nor HP service. If someone is a Windows fan, I recommend it.

I bought this to replace an earlier model and so far I have only good things to say about it. I had gotten somewhat spoiled by the earlier version. Love the touch screen, completely spoiled. Do wish I could put my camera memory card into the laptop but was forewarned about this issue and a less than $10 gadget resolves that one. The problem with the earlier version was the input port and this one has a completely different one so I'm hoping that will not be an issue with this one. Love the size, the speed, the resolution,...

Right from the moment you open it, you can see how well it is constructed and packaged. Everything works flawlessly, easy to use, quick to boot, love the HD screen, Windows pen, buttery smooth keyboard. A winner all the way.

Overall it is a great laptop for simple stuff like writing papers. Very light and portable great for minimal tasks.

I have had this laptop for roughly 6 weeks and so far am very happy with it. Its major feature - it is lightweight and has good battery life. I have run into a couple of issues 1) I used Veracrypt to encrypt my hard drive and for whatever reason the bios does not respect the boot order reliably - had to use a workaround for it. 2) Ran into an issue with a new windows 10 update that causes a black screen after login - it seems to affect a large number of HP laptops but again found a workaround.

The speed and efficiency of this laptop is incredible. It takes no time to power on and download pictures . It's light weight

The HP Ultra gives so much more in the way of performance for the dollar than the Microsoft Surface tablets, our originally intended purchase. The workmanship looks and feels very substantial. We were disappointed when a recent upgrade resulted in a black screen for several minutes when logging in. We trust HP will fix it soon. This would be a five star rating and a machine we would recommend if not for the black screen issue.

Fast, smart, powerful, light, and easy to carry. I use this for work and graphics. It's not disappointed me yet.

Love my new HP. The SSD makes a huge difference. Light, responsive, pretty! I run oodles of screens simultaneously and the battery still lasts several hours. Recharges quickly, too. Love it.

Its beautiful and does what I need, sound is amazing, acreen is perfect. If you are using on the road fulltime like I am its a bummer how quickly it pulls the battery down using adobe suite programs but I guess that's the trade off of having power in such a small package. Really wish I could charge directly off a DC system instead of having to use an inverter. Happy with the purchase, haven't used the pen yet.

I am extremely pleased with this product. I got it for a great price (it was an open box product). And I got great service and support to insure that this product was ready for personal use.

Very quick on start-up. Smooth keyboard. Small and light. Fast. Great resolution. Quiet. Battery life could be better but I usually use it in my home office so it is hooked up to power.

After owning this product this computer has handled everything from playing games to general office applications without a glitch or problem. I have no complaints with this computer.

Really like that this has everything that I wanted with the pen included. I was looking for something that was light and easy to take traveling, but had plenty of power and features.

I have owned several HP "Spectre" notebooks -- about my only beef is that they call ALL of them "Spectres." I was looking for something just like this -- very top of the line, very powerful, yet rather small and light, with a 13-inch screen. I do like how they cut the size of the bezels on the side of the screen, which resulted in a good reduction of overall notebook size. I'm OK with the top bezel being a bit bigger, given that the camera and such is built into that bezel. With the i7 processor and the 16GB of RAM, this is a powerhouse, and I appreciate the larger disk space than is commonly available. I'm replacing another notebook that was a hair lighter, but it was still physically bigger, and a bit tight to fit into my favorite travel case than this one. This new notebook is considerably more powerful than the old one, while the increase in weight is just not really even noticeable. What is notable is the USB-C charging, and the utter speed of all of the USB ports -- this transfers files faster than anything I have ever used. Bottom line, I'm very happy with its performance. I am also very happy with its screen and essentially everything else about it. I definitely want a smallish, lightweight notebook that I can easily take with me everywhere I go, and this fills that bill very well. But I also want a very powerful notebook, and I just have never had a notebook that is as fast and powerful as this one is. In the end, I highly recommend this notebook for anyone who is looking at this kind of notebook.

Fast convenient aspects of a tablet with the power and keyboard of a laptop. Good if you're looking at a Surface but don't want to pay for the name and accessories.

If you are a Windows user, this is as good as HP gets for consumers. Beautiful 4K touch screen, lots of ram and SSD storage, and Thunderbolt 3.

Battery life is amazing. Pen battery lasts about a year under my usage as a student taking notes. The fan seems a little loud and turns on when I don't expect it to be hot enough to need it. But maybe that is a feature? Display is really nice. Very nice looking and does not weigh much. Easy to transport in my backpack.
