My favorite computer ever!

I'm in my 40s and work on computers at work and at home and this is the first computer ever that I can say I actually enjoy! Very high quality and high end. It is small and light weight, super easy to walk around the house with. But not too small that you can't see the screen. The keyboard is also a normal layout and feels comfortable. I have not had any issue with my palm hitting the mousepad. The mousepad works very well also, very accurate movements. The screen on this computer is super sharp and beautiful to look at. I love that it has the camera off switch since I'm a little paranoid about the computer cameras. It also came with a really nice stylus. My first stylus experience ever and it opens up a whole new level of how you can use your computer. Also, a nice storage sleeve. My last computer had a touch screen but I never used it. On my Spectre I have been using the touch screen a lot more than I ever imagined. I love being able to flip the lid around and play games on it. I love that I can put it in tent shape, or flip it almost completely flat but leaning up a little to play a game or watch a video. I have been using this computer more than I've ever used a computer in my life, in part because of the high quality and in part because of some of the extras. Perhaps my favorite thing about this computer is that it boots up in seconds, like maybe 3-5 seconds. So, it's easy to grab it and just use it quickly without a whole federal case of starting it up and shutting it down. The quickness and agility of this machine is wonderful. Windows 10 has also been great and really works so nicely on a computer like this. Many new benefits over previous operating systems. I felt guilty spending a little more than I was planning to on this computer. But it has been well worth it. This is a great buy for what you are getting. I highly recommend this computer!

I have several gaming laptops different brands that cost above 2grand apiece, and this little hp spectre is my favorite... the price was a steal on a deal of the day.. wow!11

Bought this during the $899 sale, exceptional battery life, great portability, good number of ports, great screen.
Except for the fact that’s the ram is soldered and limited to 8gb everything else is great on this laptop.

Was researching HP Spectre X360 2-in-1 laptops online. Decided to go into Best Buy on a Friday night to just get a feel. Was really impressed with design, build and performance. Debated on upgrading to the 4K screen, 16GB memory and/or 1TB SSD. Salesperson really walked through what I was using the laptop for and convinced me to save a little money and buy. I extremely happy with the purchase and the fact that is was on sale. Great performance laptop and the touch and feel is even better!

I bought this laptop for school/personal use. My favorite feature is it's versatility, it's powerful and portable and the graphics are awesome! I do wish the model with 16gb was available in-store at the time I bought this one, but 8gb does just fine for now. My code/programs run just fine on this and when I'm home I just hook it up to my dual monitors for greater visibility.

Light but sturdy with plenty of power and storage, this HP 2-in-1 checks a lot of boxes for me. The screen has good resolution and brightness, the keyboard is laid out well, and it's easy to carry around with you. One complaint: the fan seems a bit loud.

I have two laptops--Gigabyte Aero 15x (gaming beast, core i7-8750H, 32GB RAM) and MacBook Air 2018 (for work, slim and full day battery). I am buying this laptop for my girlfriend to upgrade from her 2013 Toshiba laptop.
PROS:
This HP Spectre x360 is gorgeous in the look department, and with a performance to match--newest core i7 10th Generation, new 8GB DDR4 3200MHz RAM, Intel Iris graphics, touch screen, facial recognition, finger print reader, TPM 2.0 encryption--it is more than capable for my girlfriend's needs as a graduate student and teacher. Bonus is the HP Pen for the touch screen, which is surprisingly highly sensitive and accurate for a some freebie included.
We bought a glass protector (FORITO glass protector for 13.3" laptop on Amazon) and it fits perfectly on the screen. The laptop only have 2 USB-C ports and 1 USB-A port, with NO HDMI, so I bought the Anker 5-in-1 adapter. Super cool thing is this laptop can be charge with those Power Delivery GaN Charger from Anker or Aukey or RavPower, get the 60W or 65W USB-C charger and you can have a tiny charger for travel instead of the more cumbersome HP stock charger (these charger can charge your iPhone too).
CONS:
One quick note, I used to have bad experience with HP laptop since 2007 as many of their laptops have bad thermal design (usually run hot). This laptop is no exception regarding the heat as it ran hot initially. However, fortunately this time, the heat issue comes from the software, not the hardware thermal design!!
SOLUTION:
I reinstalled Windows 10 (fresh install, NOT refresh Windows) to ensure no HP software and bloatware are left over. Then I download the necessary software from HP (Product number is for HP Spectre x360 aw0013dx on HP website) to install only the necessity (HP Drivers and BIOS update). The temperature immediately drops after the Windows 10 reinstall and now the laptop runs cool like my other laptops.
After seeing my girlfriend using this laptop, I am thinking of selling my MacBook Air 2018 to get a similar one. The only reason I bought my MacBook Air 2018 was because of the slim design and full day battery; this HP Spectre x360 matches all those criteria, while being thinner, faster, and with more features (touch screen, facial recognition) comparing to the MacBook Air 2018, while being cheaper if you can grab it when Best Buy has it on sale. (I bought this one on President Day sale for $899, so $990 total with tax).
Only time can tell if this thing is durable or not like my other laptop. I will probably buy the HP Carepack or Square Trade to protect the laptop as if you search for HP Spectre x360 on Google, the 2016-2017-2018 version of HP Spectre x360 had heat issue and burnt the motherboard within 2-3 years of usage (usually past the warranty duration). This new 2020 HP Spectre x360 seems to be resolved on those thermal/heat issue, will keep y'all update, but very likely will extend the warranty.

I had the acclaimed XPS 13 with all the bells and whistles, but it felt flimsy, the keyboard and monitor were small and worst the battery life with the 4K screen was terrible even when I set the resolution down to 720 or 1080 turning off 4K. So, I remembered that the HP Spectre always looked good in the store, and I was not disappointed. Battery life is great, monitor is native HD conserving resources, and the 2 in 1 is great! Also, the keyboard feels good and the lid clamshell is stable and stays in one place. It's also easy to open with one hand. I really like it so far.

I love laptops. I spend a lot of time researching and testing them out. This was hands down the best 2-1 under 15 inches. Great screen quality, keyboard and overall premium feel. This thing flys as well. Everything was lightening fast and super portable to boot. The Dell XPS 13 inch is the only other laptop it’s league but this is a 2-1 for less at the time of writing this review. I also own the 15 inch version or this laptop and it’s just as good.

It works fine, if I could have justified the cost perhaps I should have bought 16gb but I am sure 8 will work. The ssd is upgradable so i think i'll be ok. The ports are nice to have including the usb A port. I get about 8-9 hours on use on a charge. Its small and easy to take on a plane. So Far so good.

I like this laptop. It is fast. Battery power is very good. Great looking while it is actually quality made.
I am not too fond of the 2 in 1 tablet function. It is working good as a tablet. I just dont like the feeling of my holding hand' s fingers touching all the keys all the time.
Next time I will buy a good laptop only plus a separate good tablet. I recommend other to buy laptop and tablet separatedly.

I had to buy this laptop because my daughter needed a computer for home schooling act the store was out of stock on the other models so I settled for this one. It actually turned out to be a great purchase!! It’s lightweight, great battery life, runs perfectly and it even comes with a stylus!! I absolutely love it! I can sign documents right on my computer and I can illustrate images.

Remote teaching was solved with this device that does it all. Grading papers directly on it is a huge time saver, say goodbye to printing.
Everything else, video chat, watching videos, streaming, and even using Stadia on it were all supurb. The added pen is very handy. The design is cool and practical. Light and small.
If you get it on sale you will not be disappointed at all!

I just picked up the geek squad certified version of this laptop on Sunday. They had it as one of their daily sale items, so I was able to get a great deal on it. Spec wize, it is great. It is light, has a strong i7 processor, 500GS of SSD space and optane memory. Wish it has more RAM or was upgrade able, but I can live with the 8G. The screen dimensions take a bit getting used to. But within the first hour of having it up and updating all the software I experienced a screen shimmer twice. Over the evening it happened several more times. Even though I got a deal on it, this should be happening on what is essentially a $1,300 laptop. I've since seen some posts online that this may be an issue. I'm trying to dig into if this can be resolved in software. Otherwise I'm going to have to decide if I should keep it. I wish I could separate the ratings for the laptop in general versus the screen issue.

Best buy offered an amazing sale for this laptop, and definitely worth it. An I7, 8GB ram, 512GB SSD flip laptop, that come's with its own pen, and laptop sleeve for 800. Cons are that you can't upgrade the memory or hard drive, but if you are looking for a powerful computer that doubles as a tablet with a pen, look no further.

I have had my computer for about a month now. And I love it. The fact that I don’t have to carry a charger with me everywhere is great. I can be on the computer for almost 2 days without a charge. The little bag it come with is also nice to have. Overall this little guy is perfect.

I have had this machine a little over a month now. I use it as my main computer for a law office and it has been flawless so far. The only hard part was setting up 2 HP LaserJets, one relatively new and one from the 90's, but it finally worked. Loading software has been a breeze. I use a hub in the office, so I have a full-sized keyboard and mouse, but I enjoy this machine even with the keyboard it came with and a bluetooth mouse.
This machine replaces a Surface 3 Pro tablet, which still works fine (and is now my home computer) but was getting long in the tooth. Th Core i7 processor is really speedy -- the Surface was Core i5 and obviously older. I like the HP 360 design better because it works more like a laptop when I use it that way, instead of the fold-out tent design of the Surface.
I also considered the Lenovo Yoga for this purchase and did a lot of research on the two. They seem identical almost from the descriptions, but the feature that cinched the deal for me was the somewhat smaller footprint of the HP. I am happy with this machine but would likely have been happy with the Lenovo as well.
The other feature I thought about was the display -- I purchased the HD, not the 4K version. The Surface has higher resolution than the HD and I thought I would miss that, but that has not been the case. HD has been fine and may actually be easier on the eyes. Also, on my office monitor that I use, it will upscale to that 4K display.
Bottom line

This laptop is top of the line, everything you need in one place. It’s extremely lightweight, easy to carry with one hand, touchscreen, security features, sufficient amount of memory, and it helps you get the job done regardless of the need (e.g. homework, business, bills, etc.) This laptop is similar to an Apple Mac but with better quality, at least in my opinion, because it’s touchscreen option also comes with a stylus pen to help you work the laptop well.
