A new computer, new programs (first windows 8, 3 weeks later windows 10), made me think that I had to struggle to get used to all the new ways to use it. Not true. This fast working computer works perfectly and is easy to use. I am very grateful to the person at Best Buy who suggested it to me. The price certainly is worth it.

Overall, through the short time I have had the laptop it has shown to be a high oerformer, although I do thing it is difficult to navigate at times.. part of this will be solves with the Windows update

This laptop is really light and has good performance.

Overall excellent computer. Functions as both a laptop and tablet for me. Only weak spot is the camera in that it doesn't seem as high of quality as the rest of the machine. Powers on immediately and hasn't had any problems. Would definitely buy again.

It's very easy to use and it's light and portable.

The computer is exceptional, but I have an issue with swipe screens due to unintended swipes. I continue to use a flip phone because the few times I've used a smart phone I've accidently hung up. I also have an issue with the Office version I bought. It no longer shows up in the menu. What am I missing?

My son wanted this computer for college and kept telling me it's worth the money cause of the specs & research he did! Once I saw the prices of computers offered at the college...I was convinced he was right! College promo of $150 off definitely helped! It is very well made and he absolutely loves all it can do!!

Today is my 3rd day using the laptop. Its been great so far except for the battery life. HP does say that the spectre gives is 12 hrs but I have not manged to get over 4 hrs yet. I have read so many other users facing the same issue. I opened a case with HP and hope to resolve that issue. I love the windows 10

I put up with another brand for almost a year hard drives fried 1 went to channel 7 consumer reports and the company folded and gave me full refund ......went to best buy tern minutes later and bought the HP SpeCtre ..........what a joy to play with ........Best unit I have ever owned

I had a pretty disappointing experience with this product. I made a lot of effort to love it but it failed me. First of all, the screen is pretty glossy and it strained my eyes when reading. Then the scaling of the text on my 27 inch monitor was horrible in Windows 10. The final blow came when one pixel got stuck in the middle of the screen 10 days after purchase. At this point I returned the laptop and bought a Macbook Pro. On the plus side: very fast laptop, really good keyboard Other negatives: flimsy hinge, sound would randomly stop working in Windows 10 (had the model with Windows 8.1 and upgraded)

Loving my hp spectre. It's super sleek and super fast. Graphics are amazing. Love that you can switch from tablet to pc in a flash. The only minor improvement could be to put a power button on the keyboard.

Bought this as a versatile laptop/tablet for college because of it's compact design and features. Everything functions as expected without any issues. The only thing i would like is a larger capacity SSD. Did not experience the heat issues others mentioned.

Mimics tablet usage is nice. Fast boot up. Just wish it could have more hard drive memory but at least this is SSD which is more quiet and gives me peace of mind. So had to find alternate way of storing, accessing and backing up my photo and music library.

This computer is blazing fast starting up, and the specs are incredible. You will be hard-pressed to find a similar laptop with the exact same specs (8 GB RAM, 256 SSD, i7 Broadwell) at a comparable price.

Just have to get used to the laptop and see how it goes. Don't like that sometimes it seems as if the touchscreen and keyboard are not interchangeable. A separate mouse seems to work the best. Wish this also came with a smaller screen as an option.

Works great for any task needed for engineering. SSD is great and 8 RAM is plenty for my uses. Also can be converted to tablet for reading online textbooks. Of course, it's also great for other personal everyday uses. Great computer at a very good price.
