The SSD drive is the real performer in this package, not the i7 or 8GB RAM. It has made me consider an SSD upgrade for my backup laptop. Windows 8 is better than I expected, especially when combined with a touch screen. Sometimes the touch screen interface is just quicker. The screen is also brighter than my old Sony Vaio (2011) or MacBook Pro (2006) and definitely greater pixel density. No problems with the keyboard, just wish the form factor was large enough for a numeric keypad.

Bought this as a replacement to my Macbook Pro 15 inch. I love having a touch screen. The touchpad is probably the best I've used on a PC (but no PC I've used has ever come close to the Macbook in touchpad performance). It is super fast and responsive. No problems yet.

Nice Looking, High Speed, but Sharp Edges

I would give this a better rating if the edges of this laptop were smoother. I get painful little slit-like paper cuts from my wrists resting along the bottom edge of the laptop because it is sharp. Performance wise, it works well. If I could have made the choice again, I would have gone with a Macbook for the comfort aspect. I have had this laptop for almost 2 months and am considering upgrading to a Macbook instead because of the poor design.

This is the best laptop I've ever had. Best for Students. I love the design of the laptop and the built quality is premium. Processing speed hits the charts when compared to other laptops. It can be used for normal daily usage and also very good for programming as well. I think the only negative thing about the device is its low storage capacity other than that this is a laptop every student should have. Extremely satisfied with Best buy and HP collaboration.

The HP Spectre x360 is lightweight, responsive, has great battery life, and has an excellent display. I switch between the keyboard and the touch screen. I actually enjoy using the touch screen over the keyboard. The case is not plastic, it has a light weight metal casing. I'm glad I bought it.

I bought this as I was looking for a computer with a very long battery life. This is rated to last like 12 hours. So far I don't know if it would last the 12 hours or not as I haven't used it for a steady 12 hours thus it is hard to keep track of how long it's lasting cause I can't remember how long I have used it each time before I have to recharge it. In the short amount of time I have had it though it has met my needs.

I love this 2 in 1! At first it was difficult for me to get used to as I have never had one of these, nor have I ever had a touchscreen this large OR used Windows 8. After I got used to all the bells and whistles though this laptop/tablet beast is a blast! Starts up and shuts down super fast thanks to its SSD and the touchscreen has been super responsive. I'm using this to go back to school and I am super excited to get my study on!

Very Happy with the HP Spectre X-360 after 2 months of use for both business and personal. Love it when travelling because it's so light. I did not initially buy an adapter for external monitor and ethernet ports but after adding the j5create adapter I can do everything I need to.

    A Perfect Laptop?

Is there such a thing as a perfect laptop? I think not, but this one is very good. I've been using the laptop for over a month now and have adjusted to Windows 8.1 fairly easily. The battery life is excellent, the screen is nice, the keyboard is good, the touchpad is fair...it works fine but because it is hinged, you may notice a bit of a clicking noise. I think this machine should work well for the next few years.

It looks just like an apple macbook, but it runs Windows and it does it so quickly. This is a wonderful laptop for business, traveling and lite gaming. It is very lightweight and aesthetically pleasing. I use it for business and traveling and it runs all my programs without a hitch. Battery life is great too at around 6 hours.

Keyboard is nice. Most shallow keyboards I don't care for but this one is good. The 2n1 feature is handy but the form factor is the best part. Small, light and portable. This is my favorite laptop I've ever used and think it was a solid investment. The only thing I think I would prefer would be the same exact thing but in a 15inch version. There's pros and cons to that too though. Excellent machine overall.

Nice construction, very light. Great battery life. Selectable backlit keyboard is a nice plus. This is far and away the best computer I have owned and I have had a lot of them since the 80's. Very fast boot up, browsing is a breeze. No negatives that I have seen so far.

My desktop died a slow death. I went to Best Buy to look for another. The salesman was great. I had researched the spectre and the salesman agreed that it was the best for what I needed. I have really enjoyed using it. Windows 8 is hard to get used to and hoping they do an update soon. Other than that I really like it.

Would not even have thought to consider the HP laptops, but I am really glad I was suggested to try it. Pros - great keyboard, solid feel, fast, great screen. Little to no issues with set-up. Amazing battery life (6-8 hours regularly) Cons - weighs just a tad more than my last 2 laptops. No dedicated page up/page down keys. Very happy I returned the Lenovo Yoga Pro3 and got this instead.
