Terrible product
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I would give zero stars if I could. When the first one arrived and I turned it on, the screen didn’t work properly. They sent a replacement and the second one went to the blue screen when I turned it on the first time and said there was an issue with the hard drive. Returned that one and now, the third one, started doing the blue screen saying there’s an internal issue 5 days after the return period expired. Geek Squad says it’ll take 4-7 weeks to fix it. Never again will I buy an HP.

Heart break
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Got this for my daughter for Christmas. She just opened it up on Chrismas eve plugged it in and blue screen right out the box. Did a system check and all is good but memory test fails. So far we are extremely disappointed. I have had a Spectre lap top my self for 3 years with not one issue but this is really a let down.

Only lasted 1 year and 3 months…
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It was a wonderful computer while it lasted. Unfortunately that was only 1 year and 3 months….then the mother board died. This computer was only used maybe 50 times…and only for zoom meetings and general home use (YouTube, Word, shopping, etc.). Called HP and was basically told to go pound sand because it was past the warranty date by 91 days. I expected more for almost $2k.

Disappointed
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very nice design, but the battery didn’t last more than four hours. The fan makes loud noises. I returned it; not worth the price.

Very Bad Experience
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought the laptop from BestBuy and on using it for the first time the software crashed every 5 minutes so I went ahead and exchanged it. To my disappointment, for the 2nd time I received a laptop that had its hinges misaligned and also crashed once, so I lost faith and returned the item.

Watch out
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Screen flashes sporatically/radomly and today 16 months after purchase, the corner thunderbolt charging port is dead and unresponsive to any plug-ins. Not a good laptop as far as battery life is concerned. Typical 13 inch

Do not Buy!
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This computer broke the first month with had it. The screen turned black and had to be sent off. I could not return it because it had been over 45 days. Poor service too at the Total Tech bar.

Screen issues
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The screen keeps blacking out. I’m taking it back to be replaced- hopefully it’s just a fluke.

Spectre (14-ea0023dx) Not a Good Long Term Value
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Cons: - Camera is terrible. It's the worst I have ever used. - Weak speakers. - I had to replace the battery after only 2.5 years. It swelled and split the case open. HP no longer sells batteries to consumers. I have never had a laptop battery fail in such a short time. - It struggles under hard use. Even after reinstalling windows and turning many services off, it still struggles periodically. Some days it's good, some days it's not. - Camera struggles to recognize my face. - The hybrid hard drive is very slow. Boot times are on the level of old school disk hard drives. - It doesn't play well with external displays. If video is playing on two displays, then the drivers crash. Either the sound goes out (requiring a reboot) or the video stops rendering (requiring a restart of the application). - Display too narrow. Aspect ratio is not good. - Keyboard backlight is iffy. Sometimes it remembers to come on, sometimes not. - Microphone is terrible. - Sometimes it does not recognise headsets plugged into the audio jack. It may play sound through the headset and the laptop speakers at the same time. Don't trust it if you want to use it in a library. - Screws hidden behind the rubber strip. Once you take the cover off, you will inevitable destroy the rubber strip and never be able to put it back on. - Pen is mediocre. - Needs a left side Thunderbolt4/USB4 port. - Keys too close to the edge. - Bloatware and useless HP applications. - Useless technical support. - No pen storage. - Slow charging. Pros: - Charger is an excellent design for travel. - Good port selection. - Well-placed Thunderbolt4 port in the corner. - 4 speakers.

Amazing but possible design flaw
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased a HP Spectre x360 14 after owning a Spectre 13 (2016). I really liked how the versatility and long battery life of the laptop. This year I decided to upgrade and on Black Friday made the purchase and waited for almost a month to receive it - but that was no problem. Unboxing was great, I purchased the Poseidon Blue and it looks amazing. The laptop it feels super premium and the little quality of life improvements from the previous version are welcomed - the screen and trackpad in particular are worth the upgrade alone. Unfortunately, on the first evening I noticed that the keyboard lights were a little miss aligned. Normally, I don't mind minor imperfections but this misalignment meant that the keyboard lights bleed out from under the keys right into the users eyes. This made it a pain to actually used them. After a chat with HP Support they sent a box and it was off for repair - I was pleasantly surprised by the ease of that whole experience. Today I received it after a very quick turn around but now instead of the keyboard lights being crooked the white top row of keys have the lights shining right into your eyes. Without being able to go into a BestBuy to compare the laptop with a display model this is a bigger pain that it should be.

Good Laptop, breaks quickly
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The computer was great, loved the screen quality and responsiveness. HOWEVER, after about a month the pen started glitching so that it was almost impossible to write on the screen. Even after sending it back to HP and getting a new pen the problem persisted. Laptop died after two years and wouldn't charge through either port. Fixing it would require a brand new Motherboard.
