    Great computer for the price.

I purchased this computer from Best Buy. Computer built well although when closed, there is small gap between two halves of the case. Also when keyboard is lit, light from under the keys is disturbing. Besides that I absolutely love the machine. It has 2 thunderbolt C ports and one USB A port. Dedicated camera off button works well as well as windows hello and fingerprint sensor, fast and reliable. Computer is very fast, display is 3x2 ratio and very bright. I usually use it at 30% and have more than enough brightness. battery lasted whole day, around 8 hours and next day I still had 20% left. I am very happy with the purchase. Price is very reasonable for what you getting. Definitely recommend this computer.

Great laptop. Light weight, great screen, nice touchpad. Not a huge fan of the keyboard but you get used to it.

Best purchase 2nd laptop from company

Honestly I waited a yr to do a review but after owning my first 360 compared to my old Pavilion 17 inch laptop I had for 4 yrs. I'm glad I went with the 360 makes college so much easier where I can flip the screen and do projects for school and work and hobbies. Compared to the bigger screens they are more heavier to keep control and I do have a desktop as well for mostly home stuff but I use my laptop to be mobile and more user friendly. I also can hook it up to my ultra wide If I need a bigger screen which is why I didn't really care the screen size if it was 15 or 13 inch. My best Laptop purchase so far.

    The 2-in-1 to Buy

Couple of days with it and I can tell you this is probably the best 2-in-1 out there. The OLED screen is fantastic, keyboard comfortable and this thing just zips! Surprised and delighted to find it fully supports Windows Hello face log-in as well as fingerprint. For the price and what you get you just can't beat it. Love the USB-C charging pen. In fact, only thing I can find wanting with it is a place to keep the pen. Sent the ASUS Zenbook S UX393 back, since this was cheaper, more powerful and a much better build. Thoroughly satisfied!

    A Sweet Machine!

Finally received my X360 after a 9 week wait due to customization, Covid and weather related shipping delays. Thought it would never come! Blazing speed! Boots up in less than 10 seconds and shuts down in about 6 seconds. Set up was a breeze and even simpler if you have a Microsoft and Google account as all your settings get transferred to your new computer. BEAUTIFUL screen. Colors pop out, beautifully. My Adobe Lightroom program (desktop not cloud based) runs much faster than on my older HP DV7 Pavilion. I chose 16 GB ram and the 1 TB SSD as well as AMOLED. My older HP DV7 was a 17" screen and my new X360 is 15" so it is taking a bit of getting used to a smaller screen but I'll likely get used to that over time. I had to buy an ethernet adaptor as there is no ethernet port due to slim thickness of the base. I prefer wired over wireless whenever possible. I was disappointed that there is only one USB-C port along with one Thunderbolt port. One more USB-C port would have been better for a $1,700 unit. I will have to see if I need to buy a hub or docking station. The X360 does heat up a bit when using memory hog programs but the fan does its thing to cool things down a bit. Fan can be heard but it's not annoying...at least not to me. Backlit keys are great BUT...the lights shut down after 10 seconds but do come back on with a touch on the trackpad or any key. I'd prefer an option to keep lights on! Speakers sound nice, especially if you tweak the Microsoft sound settings and the Bang & Olufsen App. The leather carrying sleeve is a nice touch. I'm sure I will enjoy my Spectre X360.

Sadly within a year display monitor doesn’t work. Did troubleshoot graphics card and all, it ONLY works if connected to docking station and shows only on external monitors. Defeats the purpose of a laptop mobility.

More junk from Intel + HP

    Posted .

Machine has critical flaw that renders it worthless for productivity users/professionals like me who use external monitor + bluetooth mouse and keyboard. The keyboard and mouse will stutter, lag, and occasionally disappear for several seconds. A quick google search reveals that this issue is common for Intel tiger-lake equipped machines. So far it looks like Intel and HP have not come up with a solution to what seems like a basic problem. I've tried all of the recommended fixes with no luck. Extremely disappointing to have this issue on a premium machine. I would have given this machine 3 stars if not for the bluetooth issue. -2 stars for the pre-installed bloatware, noisy fans, and poor webcam quality. This is my second HP machine. The last I purchased in 2010 and it lasted 4 years before failing. I bought this machine as an upgrade from my Surface Pro 3 that I've had since 2014 with no issues at all. I will avoid HP and Intel products in the future.

I purchased the spectre x360 14" and have been very satisfied. My only concern is not being able to find a compatible docking station. I need to add 2 monitors to the unit.

I have never wrote a review on a product but i have to this time. Dont buy this computer ive only used it maybe 10 times in 3 months at the most and already had to send it in for warranty work cause the screen died after a month and now having to send it back again a month later because now it wont boot due to it overheating and customer support from geek squad or hp couldnt fix it. Ive had way cheaper laptops that have lasted and have been way more reliable then this computer. I dont know why this product is even sold due to how hot it gets literally gets so hot i almost cant even touch it at times after not even that long of using it. Dont buy.

Chronic motherboard death at 18 months

Great laptop until the motherboard went out. A common issue with these laptops is overheating motherboards that die about 18 months after purchase. Repair cost equivalent to half the cost of the laptop. Hold off on purchasing this laptop until HP resolves the motherboard issue. Unless you are ok with only having it work for a year.

Don't buy this computer. It looks great, but that's pretty much all its good for. The motherboard fried the first year i had it and the battery gave out after I replaced the motherboard. Now it just overheats whenever it's charging.

    Didn't last

I had this computer for a little over a year before it crashed. During the year that it was usable it did work okay. It did always seem to run a little bit on the warmer side though. About 18 months after purchasing the laptop it stopped working. I took it to a local repair shop and he was quite familiar with this model and has had to repair or replace a number of motherboards for other customers. Unfortunately, the cost of the repairs was close to the original cost of the laptop so I have had to make the decision to move on with a different brand. Even if this would of happen while the laptop was still covered by the warranty I would still of been very disappoint that such a major failure even happened in the first place. For the price of this laptop I had expected much more.
