Best and most powerful laptop I’ve ever owned.
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love pretty much everything about this machine. Won’t repeat what others have said. I had just onc issue with it and that is I wanted to do a clean install of Windows 11, but when the install got to the place where the drives are shown there is nothing shown, just an empty window. After doing some research I found that the problem is that there is no AHCI driver (I think that’s right). The good news is that I found a way around it. You have to download the Rapid Storage Technology Driver from hp.com and install it. Go to that folder (SWSETUP) and copy the ‘dchu_VMD’ folder and paste it onto the root of your Windows USB setup drive and then run the Window install again. When you get to the empty drive window, select LOAD DRIVER. Browse to the root of the USB and select the folder you plaster and hit ok. Select the “Intel RST VMD Controller” driver and click Next, and then the drives will appear and you can delete them all and do a clean install.

Best Premium 2-in-1 Available
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I replaced my year old x360 13 with this model - it runs circles around the 13" model. The specs are out of this world and a steal at $1299 (11/19/20). The 11th gen EVO system is a revelation - sleep means SLEEP with 2% battery drain overnight and NO HOT BAGGING. Performance is far superior to the 10th gen, and battery life is at least 2 hours longer even with the 3000x2000 OLED. In fact, going 3:2 is such a productivity gain it's unreal, and two TB4 and a USB-A port are great upgrades. Grab one while they are at this insane price.

HP - Spectre x360 2-in-1 13.5" Touchscreen
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Fast and lots of storage. Boots very fast. Like the 2 in1 feature. Outstanding display. Has only one USB port. Wish it had 2 or 3 but that was not a deal breaker for me. Would purchase again.

A good purchase.
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Aesthetically pleasing and compact. Great processor speed, and lots of interesting features. Moved from a Macbook to a pc so it’s going to take a while to adjust but I don’t regret the purchase.

Good laptop overall but bad for sensitive people
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Good points: 1. 3:2 ratio display is good for work 2. Good build quality 3. Good pen Bad points: 1. All OLED laptops are using PWM dimming, which may cause eye strain or headache for sensitive user. I was fine with my OLED phone, but was very uncomfortable with this laptop. There's no review for this model on notebookcheck.net and I don't know the PWM frequency. However, there are reports that some OLED laptops are using 60Hz PWM dimming, which will cause problems for people even not that sensitive. In the end, I had to return this item due to eye strain, but the experience should vary for different people. 2. The digitizer pattern on the screen is visible and a bit distracting.

I'm enjoying it so far, setting it us was easy. I used Best Buy's curbside pickup and that went very smoothly.

A return to taller screens
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The 3:2 aspect ratio is refreshing to work with. It is great to have the vertical room to see more of a document, compared to the wider aspect screens most manufacturers move to in recent years. In keeping with the Spectre x360 line, this is a gorgeous laptop, and fast. The keyboard is overall easy to use. Two small concerns. The first is that the power button is now on the keyboard, next to the delete key, making it easy to accidentally press the power button. The computer can be set up to not turn off when the button is pressed, but then what is the point of the button. The second is that the Evo platform does not feel fully thought out. Specifically, two different bluetooth-connected mice frequently stop working for a few seconds. Online discussions point to the Evo platform seeking to reduce power usage, but this is an annoying phenomenon. Overall a great computer in a refreshing screen format.

Great but
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Slick looking, nice performance. Only thing is that there is only one USB slot and it was so tight that a mouse receiver was stuck in it. The receiver was eventually broken when being forced out with hardware tools.

Likely the best ultrabook on the market
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great laptop- has pretty much every feature you can think of: convertible, stylus support (stylus included), OLED, 3:2 aspect, high resolution, good battery life, decent port selection, very light weight and compact, good speakers, IR camera/fingerprint, good size RAM/SSD, etc. They even included a nice sleeve. Probably the only downside so far is the regular webcam quality- it's pretty mediocre even as far as those go. Would possibly have been nicer to be an AMD CPU as those are cheaper for the performance, but the Tiger Lake i7 isn't bad either. Also means you get Thunderbolt. Returned a Lenovo Flex 5 (Ryzen 7) for this. Aside from max CPU performance, the Spectre is better in basically every way.

Great 2 in 1 But Gets Too Hot
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a nice laptop with great specs and beautiful screen. However, they should not call it a laptop because he gets too hot to use on your lap. In tried several different setting, including the cool setting in the HP Command Center, and each time it would get hot to use on my lap. As I like to use the laptop while sitting on my couch, I had to return it. I am bummed because when used on a table or desk, this laptop is excellent, and I got a great deal at Best Buy. Hope this review helps.

Beautiful design and powerful features for OTG!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Amazing laptop, the OLED screen is absolutely worth it! Great to draw on, use Photoshop, watch movies on, etc. the GPU is even powerful enough to run some recent games. My only complaint is it gets a bit hot under load, but that's to be expected.

Best 2-in-1 2020
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Best 2-in-1 with the new 11th Gen Intel Tiger lake. Great value as well. Outperforms and is cheaper than the Dell XPS, and straight blows away Lenovo's offerings. Fast processor and ram, great screen (without 4k, can't tell a difference). Hopefully the 3k screen will keep battery life great.
