I bought this headset to replace the HyperX Cloud Core Headset (2016). This Cloud Alpha Pro headset sounds very clear and mute and volume functions are a huge plus for this headset. This headset also has great bass. HyperX also makes some of the most durable and reliable headsets in the market. Only critique is that it is not quite as loud as an Amplified Headset, for example I also own the HyperX Cloud Alpha S (with USB dongle) which is nearly twice as loud as the Cloud Alpha Pro. With the current prices, I would recommend spending the bit extra money for the better headset. And yes, USB HEADSETS work on PlayStation and Xbox.

Had em for about a month. Needed to use an EQ app to make em sound better but if you aren’t an audio snob they are pretty good out of the box. Cable is about 3 feet long, mic is removable and they are comfortable. Build quality seems good so far, coming from a $300 pair of seinheisser headphones, these are excellent for the price point.

Before purchasing these, I read and watched countless reviews online. After watching a review by Jimmy's Review Room on YouTube, I finally decided to pick them up for my Xbox One. I can't put into words how great this headset is. The packaging was very easy to open and made it easier to sort everything included inside. Upon putting the headset on, I noticed how soft the faux leather/memory foam earcups are around my head. Between the earcups, padded headband, and adjustable aluminum frame, this headset is incredibly comfortable. Before plugging them into my controller, I thought I'd test the sound quality by playing some music from my phone. Needless to say, the dual chamber drivers really eliminate any possible distortion, as well as produce crystal clear highs, mids, and lows. Honestly, the sound quality produced by the Cloud Alpha headset is far superior than my Beats Solo2 Wireless Headphones. The mic itself is detachable, clear, and blocks out a large amount of background noise. One thing that surprised me was that I don't need to plug the headset into my TV to hear my games along with chat. All I need is the adapter, which I already had from using my Turtle Beach X12s. Overall, this headset is amazing for the price, one of the best on the market, and I would highly recommend them to anyone.

This was my first more professional headset purchase. I had checked out extensive reviews and videos for headphones in this price range and these were the most recommended. Needless to say they don't disappoint. First of all, the build quality is outstanding. From the earpads to the casing material to the headband everything feels and looks premium. When you factor in the aspect that they are only $100 I would argue that from an aesthetic standpoint these are the best bang for your buck, period. In regards to the sound quality, unfortunately I don't have as good of expertise. However, I did notice a considerable difference in the stereo quality of these headphones. Playing through the Division, I was actually able to tell the direction I was being shot at based on the sound before I saw the shooter. The nice thing about it is it feels natural. It was so natural in fact that I didn't even notice I was doing it until a few minutes later. The one problem that I would note is that the volume is lower then other headphones but this can be fixed somewhat by raising the headphone volume on your console. Overall, if you are looking for a mid-priced set of headphones that look and feel amazing with a great sound I wholeheartedly suggest these.

Pros: Great sound, good noise isolation. Detachable mic is solid and performs well. Comes with several nice extras, including a carry bag, extension cable, and choice of faux leatherette or fabric ear cups. Comfortable to wear for extended periods of time. Sturdy construction and aluminum ear forks. Cons: Some cable/connector sensitivity to EMI. Plugged this headset into my external sound card and got immediate buzzing in both the audio and the microphone. Experimentation showed sensitivity to a nearby desk lamp, relocating the cables and changing the location of the external sound card resolved the issue. Strange, since the old Logitech G330 headset had no issues with that prior set up. Other Thoughts: Highly recommended for the price I paid on sale. Great features and performance in a sub-$100 headset. Would recommend to my friends and family.

Loud, Comfortable for large heads, excellent quality, and unbeatable price. I've been through numerous headsets through the years, and all have fallen short of expectations except this pair. Loved so much I even bought a pair for my niece, because it's Playstation/Xbox/and PC universal.

I've recently become a huge fan of the HyperX brand, so when I needed to upgrade my headset I knew instantly what to look for. I cannot speak highly enough of it. First off, it looks great. The red accents really make it pop. Its build quality is also top notch, being made from metal, high quality plastic and nice leather. When wearing it, it's very comfortable to the point that I sometimes can't tell i'm wearing it. It doesn't squash your head or anything no matter how long it's on. The sound quality is impeccable. Bass response is really nice, it doesn't distort with high volume and the only way I could see it being better is with the use of HyperX's 7.1 surround USB add-on. My only gripe is with the microphone. Now, I use the HyperX Quadcast mic anyway so I don't really have a use for the headset mic (which is conveniently enough, removable) but if you don't have a separate mic, this one doesn't really sound all that great. But maybe it's me just being spoiled with a higher quality one.

Great price for some good quality headphones. Lots of headphones with great footstep ques are expensive. Hypercloud on the other hand looks out for the customers. This has some good audio ques for the fraction of the price of a higher end model with comparable results. If your on a budget you cannot go wrong with these headphones

The sound quality and build quality are far superior to any other headset that I've used. They are super comfortable and well worth the price. Although they are more expensive than a lot of other headsets, the price is actually super good for what you get. I recommended this headset to multiple people and they all love them.

Works great for gaming. I bought this specifically for COD for the PS4. It's good for hearing everything clearly and talking to your friends. The headset is soft on the ears and so I can wear it for long periods of time without it irritating my ears. I would highly recommend for the price.

Awesome headset! Very comfortable and loud, no echoes or static like others have. This is my 2nd set, only downfall to me is the volume control in the cable, it messed up on my 1st set and had to constantly mess with it to get both sides to work. HyperX website sales them for 10$ but have been out of stock for a while, will order one when they get them and have an extra set. Plus it was such a good deal for 50$ to get these from Best Buy I couldn’t pass it up, paid 100$ 3 years ago for my others, and I really like this blacked out version, but the red are sweet too. Can’t go wrong with these!!

It’s been a little over a year now and i’ve had no issues. Feels comfortable, the microphone is easily adjustable, and the audio quality is good on both ends. If you want something at a decent mid range price, I would recommend giving these a try. Ill check back in another year or so.

This headset is very comfortable, very durable and sound great. The leather earcups make it comfortable to game for 8+ hours. The mids and Highs are clear and the bass is good but not amazing. Best $100 headset there is. My only compliant is that the headset doesn’t get as Loud as I’m used to

Overall it's a great headset for gaming. I use it on the PS4 and it's great, because you never have to charge it. Also, it's extremely comfortable and it almost never hurts around your ears after hours of gaming. What I really like about this product is the ease of fixing things. The ear cups are replaceable, the wire is replaceable, the mic is replaceable, so if something does break you don't need an entirely new headset. The one thing this headset lacks is volume controls aside from high and low. You'd have to buy a sound card for that from HyperX and that'll set you back another 30 dollars. So, you can't control party chat vs the actual game volume which is kind of annoying. Overall though it's a nice looking headset and I think it's a really solid choice.

It has great sound quality and very comfortable. You definitely get the most out of your money with this headset. Highly recommend this to anyone who wants a reliable headset

Several years ago I bought my son a pair of these for gaming because someone suggested them to me over the turtle beach that he had originally asked for. These were a little more expensive but it was so worth it. These ones I was told have a better quality sound & are less likely to break as they are made of metal & not plastic. And that the warranty thru this company was a good one. All I needed to hear. Durable & good warranty (my son is hard on things). We had a couple issues with them during the time we owned that pair and the warranty was great. They took care of it. Just because his were getting older & had already been replaced once he requested a new pair for his birthday. So if you’re looking for good headphones these are awesome! Also they have ones that are good on computer, Xbox, PlayStation, and other things. So you don’t have to buy one pair for each device.

Normally I prefer using my Astro A50 for gaming but everyone kept telling me how great this headset is for the value. I am happy to report that even though it doesn't have native 7.1 surround sound, it still sounds amazing and is definitely worth the price. I was actually surprised by the audio quality you get for the price truth be told. Sound is surprisingly good, long hours of use and stays comfortable (my head is wide, am expecting this to break fast but surprisingly it's still great shape), and I love that you can remove the microphone if you don't need it so it doesn't get in the way. People can clearly understand what I'm saying and best of all, this is easier to carry and transfer to different consoles/PC than my Astro A50s. I would recommend this as a backup if you already have a good headset but are tired of transferring headsets around to different consoles/PC. Actually even as a main headset it actually works very well too but for full immersion get a 7.1 set.

Construction feels solid and durable. They don't squeeze your head too tightly, but well enough that they can't slip off accidentally. Blocks out sound pretty well, and the audio sounds pretty great
