Taking care of them properly
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My son is 10 and they look very sturdy, but the cable insertion to IPAD device snapped off the first month. Trying to figure out how to use the warranty.

Ok headphones
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The sound wasn't as loud as I was hoping it would be. Less base then expected, and that would not do for my gaming experience. Don't mind the review, I'm just picky.

Dang...
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have gone through many headsets looking for the perfect PS4 set. I went from PS Gold to Steelseries Arctis 7 to TB Stealth 600 and now to these. I admit that the Steelseries were probably the nicest set of them all, but they lacked depth. Something about them made me feel like I was missing something during the action (even after using the engine to tune them for a few hours). I also could not control the in game chat volume from the headset since I was using them with the PS4. So, I then tried the TB 600's and they were just kind of garbage relative to the Steelseries. Not as comfortable and sounded cheap. I figured I would just give these a try even though I did not want a wired set... well, very glad I did it. These have about the same comfort as the Arctis 7's, but a more robust sound. They seem to just have a deeper, more rich tone that I prefer. I play a LOT of CoD online and I can hear everything and feel everything with these. They just seem to provide the low end oomph that the Steelseries lacked, but not in an overpowering, sloppy kind of way. I also have heard that the mic is great from my friends. There are two things I don't like, one of which is the cord. The other is that there is no mic monitoring, so I cannot hear myself talk. I like to have that because these have some pretty good sound isolation. I am able to overlook this for the price and performance though. Everything else about them screams quality. I would recommend these for an Xbox with the adapter over the PS4 just plugged into the controller, but know that they will be pretty darn amazing regardless.

Best Headset I've EVER Used
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've been through several headsets in the last couple years, and this definitely is the best one to date. It is so comfortable, and has amazing sound quality. I love that the mic is removable so I don't have to worry about my daughter or son messing it up if they ever need to use my computer and headset for something. It is perfectly cushioned around the ears and doesn't rest a ton of weight on the top of my head like other headsets have in the past (Turtle Beach, Sennheiser, Triton, and Logitech all have this issue for me). I feel like I can be fully immersed in whatever game I am playing, without worrying about the pain caused by my headset over time or not being able to hear what is going on around me well. I will definitely be buying Hyper X headsets for all my future gaming needs.

Lots of static after a while
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought two pairs of these for my two kids. After a month or so, both headsets emitted a lot of static and were pretty much unusable because of that.

Solid
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've had these for a while now. They're definitely solid. Unfortunately I stepped on the audio jack and bent it so now the mic makes noise in chat. They're comfortable, sturdy and sound good. My only real complaint is the lack of a mute button. I'm still debating on what to get, whether it's these or something else.

Awesome
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought these for my brother in law for Xmas and after trying them on wish I would have kept them! Was hesitant to buy these over Turtle Beach brand name but went with them due to reviews and price, boy did that decision pay off! Will be buying a second pair for myself. Good comfort, outstanding sound!

Sound quality good, everything else not so much
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Ive been looking for a quality headset thats around $60 or under. I thought these would be perfect because of the reviews but I'm really disappointed and will be returning them. Pros: The sound quality is great, and the headset feels sturdy. Cons: There is no mic mute button, you'll need to detach the mic anytime you want to mute. There is no volume control, you'll need to adjust any volume through the ps4 menu. Lastly, they were really tight. They hurt my ears and my head. Overall, I don't think these are worth the money.

Not worth the money
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this headset less then a week ago to replace my Turtle Beach PX24's and I'm extremely unhappy. First off there is NO mic monitoring. You feel like you have to talk loud/yell to hear yourself or have anyone else hear you. This is even after doing the mic adjustments through the settings menu. This is probably my biggest issue. Second, the only way to mute yourself is to pull out the mic; which is hard to due when you're mid-match. A mute button would have been nice. Third, they are not as comfortable as you are lead to believe. Sure, at first they feel good, but anything beyond a 2-3 hour session you can begin to feel the squeeze and weight of the headset. The only plus of this headset is the aluminum frame. I do give a thumbs up in that regard. All in all, for short time use and only basic functionality needs this will get the job done, but if you lean towards the serious side look elsewhere.
