Great headset, but make sure and get the warranty

He really likes it, but almost all his headphones stop working after about a year for some reason. He must be hard on them, but it seems that gaming headsets are not that well built. I always buy the extended warranties and exchange them when they go bad.

Great Headset

In terms of sound, these are a big step up from both the Steelseries Arctis 1 and 7 wireless versions (I own both). I use the HyperX Cloud II Pro in combination with the Astro MixAmp Pro, which adds additional features and further improves the sound quality. Only minor negatives are (i) the cable is not detachable and (ii) you have to unplug the mic to get it out of your face (no swivel mechanism).

Bought for my brother

The usb dongle is a bit finicky. I originally liked the removable mic, however now the wire in the mic is warping. The mic still functions properly. Recently got the steel series arctix 7 as a wireless alternative.
