Customers are saying

Customers often highlight the superb sound quality and comfortable design of the Cloud II Wired Gaming Headset. Many appreciate its compatibility with multiple gaming platforms and the detachable microphone. However, some users mention the headset's relatively short cable and lack of inline volume controls as drawbacks. A few also noted that the fit might be snug for some users, and that the bass could be improved.

so they are great....but the worst durability in the headset I have ever had. $100 for a headset to break in just 4 months is ridiculous. I have had 50$ headsets live for 1-2 years. I got this because I thought oh more the money the better. sadly not the truth,

Although you can plug it in your 3.5 jack your wasting your money because you can’t use the audio control box which requires a usb plugin which Xbox One, S, or X doesn’t support.

They worked amazing for about 2 months, till the plug that goes into my Xbox One controller, snapped off. I am not rough on my things, I am always careful, so it really frustrated me when it happened. I hope I just purchased a lemon!

ITs decent. Better than my older corsair headset but its ok. It does use a usb/combo jack so dont expect great mic quality from this.

My first and LAST gaming headset!

The HyperX Cloud II headphones (I will have two in total by the end of this hectic year) surely have it's ups and downs. Before you read my review in depth, please keep in mind that I am still new to the whole "PC gaming" set up by multiple steps. (meaning I am still researching PC gaming desktops, their specs, headsets and etc.) The pricing on these things are pretty lucrative, but for those who really want to be immersed in their games, movies and TV shows, then these $100+ headphones are just what you are looking for. There is a lot of research on the customers end, ( a little bit of educating yourself on how this stuff is made/works) that must be done BEFORE ever making a purchase. I emphasized this with my family members every time they want to buy any new piece of technology. It is no walk in the park but as long as you show the seller that you know a thing or 4 about what you are getting, the more the seller will respect you more as a customer and will be willing to help you on what you are really looking for. So here are my initial pros and cons of the Hyperx Cloud II gaming headphones and why I never want to spend that type of money on gaming headphones again. (Because these are just semi-perfect for me) First, let's start with the cons. The sound quality is "almost" there for me. (It's nearly perfect when listening to most songs) I can't put my finger on it, but I can barely hear some effects during some movies, games and etc. (Not sure if it is my laptop, the condition of my ears which are fine or my speakers) When it comes to comfort, these headphones are kind of on the comfortable and uncomfortable side with me. The headhpones will fit anybodies head pretty well and the headset cushions are pretty snug. As for me, the cushions feel a little too tight around my ears and I have to keep adjusting them. (Other than that, the comfort level is pretty moderate) The sound card adapter is pretty useless to me. (The headphones sound just fine without the surround sound feature) The wire (without the adapter) is way too short and can be troublesome for some peopole, who happen to have their phone in their pocket without a case. Now for the pros. The mic quality is superb. The sound quality is pretty solid. (Though improvements can be made if they were to make a Cloud III model) The noise cancelling technology is a blessing in disguise when I deal with loud pets/neighbors. The sound adapter is neat and quite innovative. (Unfortunately, I need it in order to mute my mic or adjust the volume. That is a bummer.) Lastly, even with it's cons, I was motivated to buy another pair of these. (Just wish they came in different colors of blue, purple, green and orange.) So how would I improve the product? The packaging could use some work. Taking notes from other "cheaper" gaming headsets (with a pretty decent sound quality) when it comes to having a mute option connected to the wire and etc. is a must. Perhaps if they tried a different piece of material, these could be the most comfortable headphones of all time. (Or at least the top 10 or 50) Moreover, I would push for a retractable long cord. As far as innovation goes, I would put a speaker button nozzle on one of the sides of the headphones. (Or at least attach it somewhere that still helps create the immersion/comfort zone of many gamers/customers) If I ever heard about the Hyperx Cloud III project in the works, I would push for the following simple innovations: 1. The ability to transform your headsets through detachable speakers. (A somewhat durable and small headset within a headset) (That would be pretty cool) 2. Easier but durable packaging. (It's time to innovative how products are packaged without the headache of using scissors/ripping the box to shreds) 3. Let the headphones come with some small wired headphones. (Take notes from Skullcandy) 4. A detachable wire. (push for wireless headphones, but give customers the option to connect a headphone jack. I do understand that your more expensive headphones offer this option, but why not the Hyperx Cloud II headsets?) 5. More color options. (It's optional but why not?) Hopefully, HyperX corporate receives my letter and understands where I am coming from. Furthermore, I wish them the very best in their future products/how they continue to bring joy and innovation to many customers/gamers. These are the first and LAST gaming headphones that I will ever purchase. Hyperx. Thank you but please consider my suggestions/prices in the future.

Would love to rate this higher as it was a decent headset for the month I had it but it has suddenly stopped functioning and is no longer able to be used. No idea what happened, I turned my PC on, sat down, audio and mic completely non functional. I had just used it the night before!

    Awesome Headset

Hands down the best headset I have ever personally owned! What is there to not like about this headset, I cannot honestly think of anything. Okay wait, one little peeve. The cord is a bit short, I mean the one that has the 1.5 plug, the USB adapter cord is plenty long. It's comfortable, blocks out the vast majority of background noise, has a sturdy aluminum frame and did I mention sounds absolutely fantastic.
