Customers often highlight the superb sound quality and comfortable design of the Cloud II Wired Gaming Headset. Many appreciate its compatibility with multiple gaming platforms and the detachable microphone. However, some users mention the headset's relatively short cable and lack of inline volume controls as drawbacks. A few also noted that the fit might be snug for some users, and that the bass could be improved.

Great, comfortable headset
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have used many gaming headsets before and the biggest problem that I have had with all of them is that they were not comfortable to wear for more than an hour at a time. This is definitely not the case with this set. This is the most comfortable headset that I have ever used. Not only are they comfortable, but they have great sound, were easy to set up and have a noise cancelling mic. I highly recommend these to anyone.

One of the Best Out There
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have to say that these are really good for the money you spend on them. I have had pretty much all the high end gaming headsets out there and bar none these are better than the A40 tr's, the old A40's, A50's, logitech, corsair, TB,plantronics, steelseries. Now I say this because I have the A40 tr headset and tr mixamp. I always did not like the A40 tr, mic is god awful and they have never fixed the tinnyness and echo that those things have. The clouds 2 come with a 7.1 usb hub and its ok, I have tried it with bf4 and bf1 and other games. I do not like the way the audio is produced with the 7.1 usb hub, very tinny, and echoey. Now you pair these up with the Astro tr mixamp, FORGET ABOUT IT!!!!! That is where you notice that these are AWESOME!!!! The sound is crisp, clear, no tinnyness or echoey. The mic is great no issues at all, the mic is 100 times better than any A40 headset. I have also tried the new Hyperx alphas and they are awesome too, but the mic has an issue with the TR mixamp, I think it has to do with the inline volume controller on the Alphas, does not play nice with the tr mix amp. With that said I would recommend that you guys pick these up, they sound great with the provided 7.1 usb hub. But if you want to make these shine get a Astro mixamp and you will not regret it.

Love this headset
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased my actual item from Amazon, but they're the same product. The sound is a solid 5 stars, mic quality is a little rough if you're looking for clarity for the purpose of streaming, but still pretty good. Comfort is definitely perfect. Be aware these headphones cancel noise really well, so you might end up yelling and not realize it xD

Good Headset with good audio
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have had my cloud 2 for a couple years now and have been using it almost daily when I am gaming. The audio quality is good and also has a descant mic. One thing I am not a fan of is the clip is a little weak on the volume control. My clip broke off and I just haven't gotten around to replacing it, as I would have to replace the cord it is attached to as well.

Comfy for 4-hour raids, great mic, built well
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My main expectations for a great headset - (1) comfort for 4+ hour sessions, like a World of Warcraft raid; (2) a great mic; and (3) overall build quality. These met all my expectations and I absolutely love them. The comfort is just next-level. AND THEY ARE COMFORTABLE WITH GLASSES!

XBox One users beware
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This headset is the most comfortable and sturdy headset I have ever owned, plus great sound quality! There is a HUGE but though... I purchased this headset for my Xbox One. it says it is compatible and we will use that phrase lightly. When you plug headset directly into controller you receive all audio controls. Mic monitoring and chat functionality but only by entering in the home audio setting screen. There are no inline controls.I thought I could solve this issue by purchasing Microsoft stereo adapter. I now have audio controls at my immediate finger tips but with a huge short coming. You lose your mic monitoring ability!!! Not being able to hear your own voice and not knowing if you're talking to loudly in the mic, is a big enough negative to where I will be returning these this week. Which sucks because I have tried every avenue to fix compatibility issues because I truly want to keep them. I really want to give 5 stars but they are not truly and fully Xbox compatible like advertised.

Amazing Headset
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this headset for streaming on twitch. I'm not going to lie I was only going to purchase these because they are black and red and are wired. I tested them out in the store and mind was blown, the 7.1 audio you get out of it is incredible. I don't use these much on the PC when I do I make sure to have that 7.1 audio on when watching videos, I turn it off for music though. Just a preference. The mic sounds incredible if I choose to stream through the mic or for party chat - I have been recommending this headset to everyone I know - it's great for streaming if you are on a budget and do not want to spend $250+ for a headset with a mixer. Definitely go buy this - right now. If you are reading - stop, and go buy.

amazing simply amazing
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.i bought these on a whim. i was running a basic stereo headset but after trying these out i simply must leave a review that they are worth the money. you clearly hear sounds that you did not hear before and you get better quality than most other headsets around the same price. you get 2 sets of ear cuffs with the headset and a mic that stays where you put it. the clarity of the headset in chat for gaming and even during Skype is amazing. i give this a 9/10 i gave it 5 stars because the product is absolutely great but i would have offered it in other colors as well or some kind of color customization for it. but that is a personal note nothing against the product Hope this does someone out there some good on choosing a headset.

My first and LAST gaming headset!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The HyperX Cloud II headphones (I will have two in total by the end of this hectic year) surely have it's ups and downs. Before you read my review in depth, please keep in mind that I am still new to the whole "PC gaming" set up by multiple steps. (meaning I am still researching PC gaming desktops, their specs, headsets and etc.) The pricing on these things are pretty lucrative, but for those who really want to be immersed in their games, movies and TV shows, then these $100+ headphones are just what you are looking for. There is a lot of research on the customers end, ( a little bit of educating yourself on how this stuff is made/works) that must be done BEFORE ever making a purchase. I emphasized this with my family members every time they want to buy any new piece of technology. It is no walk in the park but as long as you show the seller that you know a thing or 4 about what you are getting, the more the seller will respect you more as a customer and will be willing to help you on what you are really looking for. So here are my initial pros and cons of the Hyperx Cloud II gaming headphones and why I never want to spend that type of money on gaming headphones again. (Because these are just semi-perfect for me) First, let's start with the cons. The sound quality is "almost" there for me. (It's nearly perfect when listening to most songs) I can't put my finger on it, but I can barely hear some effects during some movies, games and etc. (Not sure if it is my laptop, the condition of my ears which are fine or my speakers) When it comes to comfort, these headphones are kind of on the comfortable and uncomfortable side with me. The headhpones will fit anybodies head pretty well and the headset cushions are pretty snug. As for me, the cushions feel a little too tight around my ears and I have to keep adjusting them. (Other than that, the comfort level is pretty moderate) The sound card adapter is pretty useless to me. (The headphones sound just fine without the surround sound feature) The wire (without the adapter) is way too short and can be troublesome for some peopole, who happen to have their phone in their pocket without a case. Now for the pros. The mic quality is superb. The sound quality is pretty solid. (Though improvements can be made if they were to make a Cloud III model) The noise cancelling technology is a blessing in disguise when I deal with loud pets/neighbors. The sound adapter is neat and quite innovative. (Unfortunately, I need it in order to mute my mic or adjust the volume. That is a bummer.) Lastly, even with it's cons, I was motivated to buy another pair of these. (Just wish they came in different colors of blue, purple, green and orange.) So how would I improve the product? The packaging could use some work. Taking notes from other "cheaper" gaming headsets (with a pretty decent sound quality) when it comes to having a mute option connected to the wire and etc. is a must. Perhaps if they tried a different piece of material, these could be the most comfortable headphones of all time. (Or at least the top 10 or 50) Moreover, I would push for a retractable long cord. As far as innovation goes, I would put a speaker button nozzle on one of the sides of the headphones. (Or at least attach it somewhere that still helps create the immersion/comfort zone of many gamers/customers) If I ever heard about the Hyperx Cloud III project in the works, I would push for the following simple innovations: 1. The ability to transform your headsets through detachable speakers. (A somewhat durable and small headset within a headset) (That would be pretty cool) 2. Easier but durable packaging. (It's time to innovative how products are packaged without the headache of using scissors/ripping the box to shreds) 3. Let the headphones come with some small wired headphones. (Take notes from Skullcandy) 4. A detachable wire. (push for wireless headphones, but give customers the option to connect a headphone jack. I do understand that your more expensive headphones offer this option, but why not the Hyperx Cloud II headsets?) 5. More color options. (It's optional but why not?) Hopefully, HyperX corporate receives my letter and understands where I am coming from. Furthermore, I wish them the very best in their future products/how they continue to bring joy and innovation to many customers/gamers. These are the first and LAST gaming headphones that I will ever purchase. Hyperx. Thank you but please consider my suggestions/prices in the future.

Great for the Price!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got these after a long battle between Astro A40's and Cloud ii's. Then these went on sale for 59.99 and I got them. The 7.1 works on PS4, its a little clunky to get on but it has a noticeable difference. If you want a good deal on a quality product, get these!

Excellent Well-Rounded Headset
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Been using this for 7 months so far with no issues on both my PC and Xbox One X. Sound quality for a gaming headset is very good making it well suited for music/movies and games. Microphone sound quality is also solid, though it doesn't have in-line mic muting unless you're using the USB sound card, which is a downside if you decide to primarily use this on an Xbox One. PC side of things the USB sound card works as expected, rarely use the 7.1 virtual surround sound mode though, but it seems to do an alright job of widing the sound stage in games.
