Customers are saying

Customers often highlight the superb sound quality and comfortable design of the Cloud II Wired Gaming Headset. Many appreciate its compatibility with multiple gaming platforms and the detachable microphone. However, some users mention the headset's relatively short cable and lack of inline volume controls as drawbacks. A few also noted that the fit might be snug for some users, and that the bass could be improved.

The best headphones I have ever used. I have had these bad boys for going on like 6 years now, and they have never let me down. The only thing I have had to do throughout the years is change out the ear pads. The ones that come on the headphones are super comfortable to use for hours at a time, and they are some great ear pads you could get for cheap when it's time to swap em out. Totally worth it.

Is it truly compatible with Xbox one?

So, my dog chewed up my old headset/mic, and I really loved that thing. So we went to Best Buy and got me a new one. I saw 7.1 surround sound and immediately looked at the name and it was HyperX Cloud II Pro. It was more than the price listed here, and I didn’t know it until now. When I would play one game in particular, it would make a buzzing sound with crackling and would go off. Then I couldn’t plug the mic back in the controller when it was on. So, I had to turn the controller off, plug in the mic, just to get sound until the next crackle and shut-off. I then went on YouTube and found that the HyperX Cloud II Pro isn’t compatible with Xbox in the sound control. So that was great. I wouldn’t recommend this to a friend if they were on Xbox, but PS4 or PC, I would.

Not better than the original cloud

The main difference between the Cloud II and the original version is the sound card that it comes with delivers 7.1 surround sound, but there isn't much of difference to me in terms of the sound. Also I felt that when the 7.1 surround sound was turned on, I have a difficult time picking up where the enemies footsteps were coming from in first person shooters. The comfort is good but I don't like how the wire going into the headset is not detachable, so if that rips or is loose, good luck!

    Buyer Beware!!

Buyer beware! This products mic will cut out every few minutes and requires disconnecting/reconnecting the mic. This is in mumble, discord, etc. It is very annoying and makes the headset almost unusable. Head set is also tight on the head. I reached out to customer service online and was "hung up on" by the customer service rep in the help chat. I then called and was hung up on by the rep on the phone. I have installed firmware updates and went through trouble shooting tips with no help. I am literally going to have to buy a new headset and mic a week after buying this one. Would not recommend!

Had them for over 2 years. Sound quality and mic quality are incredible. Used them for Xbox and now on my pc. Can hear footsteps before my teammates do with their 200$ mics

The mic has changes and the cord seems good. Yet the old one i have had for 4 years has a little better build. The mic on this one flexes better.

When I first got it for christmas I was very happy. Until I noticed that the mic DID NOT work. And a mic that work's has been what I wanted for month's.

Not good since HP acquired HyperX

I really hate to rate 1 star to a headset I love so much that I used to tell others to get it. My HyperX Cloud 2 headset from 2019 is wearing down so I was going to rebuy the same pair. I have sadly cone to find out if you want this “good” headset that everyone writes about in the reviews them you want to research “kingston hyper cloud 2” because that’s what you are looking for. If you buy any new Cloud 2 then it will have “HP” on the left side and the headset will sound very muddy and cheap. I’ve even started to search for the kingston pairs since that was the only time these were good.

    HyperX Cloud II Pro

Cloud II Pro is alright, not the best and honestly i would recommend the hyperX cloud stinger more than the cloud pro if you are not using mic, this is basically just a cloud stinger with a better mic quality.

Running this on a Windows 10 PC with a 1600X processor. Plugged it in to the USB and, for a period between 10 minutes and 2 hours, it works great. Then it pops and stops my PC. I checked for a new driver or other problem and no help could be found. Taking them back

After only using the headset a few times the audio crackles. Frequently has connection issues with the wired version. Too many issues for the price.
