HyperX is awesome!

Removable microphone is a plus if you just want to listen to some music or watch youtube. The warranty is great. Best Buy stands behind their products.

Amazing for hearing footsteps

If you're on pc, ditch the usb included sound card. Your mobo sound chip is probably much better. These headphones are rebranded studio headphones that focus more on mids and highs. Which is perfect for footsteps in games. If you're looking for bass filled muddy sound go with turtle beach or Astros.

Good balance of comfort and sound

But these fit the bill! I have used them with both styles of included covers and they both are as described in the included literature. The best sound detail is with the faux leather covers. And the sound is a little more open with the velour covers. In my experience the velour offers more comfort during long sessions.
