Decent headset but horribly inflated price tag.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. For the same price as this you can get a thousand other headsets better quality. I personally just went and got pewdiepies razer kraken and love it and it costs 70$ cheaper.

Not fully compatible with Xbox One
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Cloud Revolver S is not compatible with the Xbox One. The product's ad is misleading. You can hear game play, but you cannot conncect the dongle to use the inline controls for adjusting volume & mute. This also means the 7.1 feature will not work, as the direct connection, without the dongle, is in stereo only, not surround.

A cable that won't last 3 months
||Posted . Owned for 7 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Sound quality is average. But that's not the worst yet. Cable is cracking all over the place. NOT what I would expect from HyperX.

Disappoinment
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this headset to replace my Tritton Pro headset that I have had since 2011. Unfortunately, it is nearly impossible to get another new set of Trittons. My favorite part of the headset besides the surround sound was the ability to independently adjust chat volume and game volume via a physical control. I had used those on both the Playstation and my gaming PC flawlessly. When I saw that the HyperX - Cloud Revolver S offered the capability to adjust both chat and game volume the same way my Tritton did, I decided to finally retire the Trittons. The surround sound works decently but there is no capability to adjust chat volume even though there is a control that would lead you to believe you could. After getting tired of hearing people almost blow out my ear drums, I spoke with tech support. They believed it was a defect USB Audio Control Box and they had me work with Best Buy for an exchange. Best Buy stores in San Antonio do not stock this product so I have to wait a few days to give the Cloud Revolver S another chance. To my disappointment, the replacement Cloud Revolver S does not work as advertised either. Another disappointment is that you have to either put the microphone in your mouth or shout for people to hear you when using this headset. Also, if you try using the audio jacks instead of the USB Audio Control Box, you will not have surround sound (even with a high-end sound card). I'm going back to the store to return this tomorrow. Complete waste of time and gas.

Durable, Reliable, Worth the price
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I play on Xbox One X and this headset has lasted me for more than two years and is still going strong. Would definitely recommend getting a headset adaptor for the Xbox controller as it allows you to adjust volume and mute without pulling up menus. Only con id give is that it is slightly on the plus side in terms of making your ears warm up, but if you are playing in a cool room it shouldn’t be a problem. The sound quality is seriously amazing and, if the game you are playing has good sounds programmed in, you can distinguish if some one is behind, in front, to the left, to the right, or in diagonal locations all around. It’s even pretty good at letting you hear when noises are above or below. For how durable this headset is and for how top-tier the sound localization is, it is totally worth the price- very reasonable investment as in the past I have wasted a lot more money on cheaper headsets that wind up breaking within weeks-months of purchase.
