Broke quickly
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased these headphones maybe 1.5-2 months ago, if that, and a wire from the right side has loosened and broke. I cannot hear from the right side, but I can talk and hear on the other. Pretty good headphones when they work and dont break

Should be called CloudX V2. Best headset for Xbox
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I spent a collective approximate 60 hours researching a variety of headphones for use with my Xbox One to replace my 3-year old Turtle Beach Recon 50X. The TB Recon 50X are actually not a bad choice, but I was looking for something of better quality. The TB's make my head hot and they're a little tinny. I purchased 4 different headsets from a range of prices based on my research and here is a summary of my findings: HyperX Revolver S ($150): Excellent sound and build quality. They get hot and they are a little too big to the point of being ungainly. If you bend over they'll shift heavily. I love the surround sound but it's only compatible with PC (and maybe PS4). They also do not have inline volume/mute control and are thus annoying to adjust while playing Xbox. Turtle Beach Stealth 700 ($130+2 year $20 warranty): Truly wireless solution. Includes bluetooth and noise-canceling. Cool app. I really wanted to love them but their build quality sucks. I know my old TB lasted 3 years but I hate the plastic look and build, especially for $150. I had no problems with connectivity. They get hot and the earcups are a little small. If they were more comfortable and were made of some sort of metal I would buy them, no matter the cost. I would have bought the Elite 800 but they are plagued by the same problems. SteelSeries Pro ($180): Most comfortable so far, excellent build quality and sound. The only reason I didn't keep them is that of the price. HyoerX CloudX: For $80 these are a clear winner. These are actually an updated model of the previous CloudX. You'll notice the previous CloudX is over a year old and was plagued with a problem surrounding the inline volume control - it crackled loudly upon adjustment. This revised CloudX resolves that issue and I can attest to it. However, the old CloudX included 2 accessories that I believe are must-haves; the velour ear-cups that replace the leatherette and are better at cooling (as mentioned before, my head gets hot), and the hard-shell carrying case. These accessories are purchasable here: https://www.hyperxgaming.com/us/headsets/accessories Part numbers - ear cups -HXS-HSEP3 case - HXS-HSCC1 Overall, for the price, the sound quality and comfort are perfect. They win over the other Cloud products because of features that make it unique for Xbox. It has lower impedance at 41 ohms meaning that it requires less power to make more noise. The Xbox controller, which powers the headphones, does not output enough power to make 60-ohm headphones like the Cloud II loud enough for some people. They are a great purchase at $100 (including the accessories) and I look forward to putting some miles on them.

Horrible echo
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this with great expectations. This is a good headset if you play alone but not with friends. The echo is absolutely unbearable. Extremely disappointed

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I like the headset but my only problem was that I would get a echo on them. I did everything and couldn’t resolve the issue. I ended up returning them.

Bought two pair both quit working within a few day
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We bought these for two of our kiddos and the first pair didn’t work at all with the Xbox. We thought maybe it was because it was an older version of the Xbox that they wouldn’t work. We also bought a new Xbox and bought a second pair that worked for about a week. I’m taking both of them back.....thank goodness I bought the warranty!

Not a good option for your gaming 10 year old
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This unit is not all that great for a 10 year old that plays XBox a lot. The mic plug has issues and will eventually fail. This has happened with 2 units.

Great!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. All around great headset at a reasonable price! I purchased the CloudX Pro headset in store when I was searching for a better quality pair. I normally have trouble finding a decent pair that won’t give me a headache but this one is super comfortable and lightweight! The headband has plenty of cushion as do the ear pads. The sound quality is great, very crisp and clear. I’m very happy with this headset and highly recommend if you’re looking for an affordable pair without sacrificing sound quality!
