Great Machine so far

Picked up this machine today to replace a 3 year old dell that died this weekend. After spending hours on the phone with their support I decided to go to best buy and get a pc. I liked the IBUYPOWER machines, I've been to their website but never bought one before. I picked it up and brought it home. Took it out of the box, unpacked it and connected. Machine is amazingly quiet. I can barely hear it sitting right next to it. The lights on it are pretty cool. So far the speed on this thing is great. It found about 20 windows updates and installed them all in less then 10 minutes. Also found the latest NVidia drivers and installed those in about 5. When you open the pc, the left side has all the components and SSD., while the right contains the Sata harddrive. The only complaint I have is that it does not have optical drive. You can pick up one or use desktop one inside an enclosure. Hopefully this lasts me much longer than the dell did.

This PC has everything I was looking for in a new gaming and performance PC. While I was expecting the speed and efficiency, I was not expecting how amazingly quiet this unit was, and how well laid out the case is for airflow.
The SSD provides a speedy load time for Win10, and the 1TB is a great start for storage. I added an additional 2TB drive, and again the case organization is pretty stellar.
I stream live video/audio and participate in Twitch streams, and this PC keeps up with no issues. The NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 makes this system scream with modern games, and it's basically Oculus Rift ready if you're interested in VR.
The last thing I will mention is that I did some online scouring for information on iBuypower, as I hadn't purchased from them before, and I was surprised to see how responsive and helpful their customer service is, both on Twitter and Reddit. Compared to other companies, this was actually what pushed me over the line, and convinced me to try my luck with this system.
I couldn't be happier.

I kept this PC for 2 days and returned it. I had nothing but trouble trying to get it set up. The intelligent lighting never did work. I googled the problem and read that you can unplug the lights on the inside and plug them back in and that would fix the problem. Well, DON'T do that because when I took the screws out of the side of the unit. The glass shattered all over my living room and I am still finding pieces of glass clear across the room. the product ID number on the back was covered by a sticker and when I scrapped it off I couldn't read the number so I couldn't activate windows. I called Microsoft support and the remote connected into the computer and they couldn't activate it either, they told me I would have to call the manufacturer to get the product Id. Nothing but trouble and that is not what I expected from a brand new computer that I paid almost a $1000 for. I'm glad I returned it!!

Did some research looking for a decent gaming pc. Walked in best buy just to look, seen alienware then saw this one. I asked the store clerk about both. gave good pointers on both computer but this one I liked because of all the room in the case for upgrading. I already added a sound card with ease. Only problem I had with this one was a bad hard drive, but I returned it 2 days later for an even swap with no problem at all. they even tested it for me to make sure there were no other issues. its quick, super quiet, and for the price you cant go wrong at all. I'm gonna upgrade the key board and mouse that it comes with. The key board is ok, nothing exciting, the mouse can be a little annoying as I cant figure out how to get rid of the control option on the mouse wheel. so most of the time I wanna scroll a page I'm adjusting the volume. This system had adjustable lighting, which is great for when you need to work inside of case or just have a cool look in general! I really didn't think this computer would be this great. Ive had it for a week and no issues at all, And the price is right on!!!

Excellent Computer

I got this for Christmas this year. (2016). This is an excellent computer for gaming. It can handle any game out there on high settings with 60-80ffs. The lighting is nice but not a deal breaker. You have to carefully aim the remote at a tiny little sensor to get it working. Once you locate the sensor it's easy to customize the lights. There is a huge amount of room inside to keep airflow moving and heat out.
I would have given 5 stars except it does not come with an optical drive. There is not even an option to put one in the system. There are do drive bays as the front is entirely for looks. So if you want one it must be an external. I have heard that some did not come with WiFi. There should be an included small USB WiFi adapter. If you did not get one call technical support and they will send it out. The other draw back is you can only add two more hard drives to the system. One 2.5 and one 3.5. This too should not be too big an issue as that would be 4 hard drives.
Overall I would highly recommend this to anyone as a great off the shelf gaming system.

10/10 Gaming Desktop

Pros:
-For it's price, the ratio of quality to price is amazing
-This thing can run Fallout 4 maximum graphics at 60 fps easily.
-Extremely quiet thanks to the Solid State Drive
-Great looks, the tower itself looks very cool and the lights add to the effect
-Comes with a keyboard and mouse so you don't have to buy a extra one
Cons:
-Takes a little while to turn off
-Needs a wifi adapter or ethernet cable to get wifi, i.e. it doesn't connect to wifi without something plugging into it.
The remote that controls the LED almost never works.
Summary: Other than a few minor inconveniences the desktop truly is amazing, if you are considering buying a gaming desktop, I would truly recommend this.

Very good system for gaming or programming

Reasons for Purchase
Nice-looking system, without too much flashiness.
Price comparable to similar direct-sales systems from iBUYPOWER.
Immediately available with the basic capabilites and components that I wanted.
I am not a gamer; I bought it for software development, especially CUDA and machine learning on the 1060 GPU.
General Comments
Available only at BestBuy, but not on the iBUYPOWER site.
Good build quality.
Very quiet under daily use (not gaming).
No CD/DVD/Bluray drive (common at this price point). Download your software and content.
I replaced the keyboard with a Logitech keyboard.
For WiFi, add a cheap USB WiFi adapter.
Plenty of ports for video, audio, USB, etc.
Internal Components
The ASUS motherboard is based on the H170 chipset, not the Z170. Practically, this seems to mean less flexible overclocking, but the board is sufficient for the 6700 CPU.
The solid-state-drive is a budget drive made by ADATA. iBUYPOWER uses this brand of SSD in their direct-sales systems, but other brands, notably Samsung, make much better SSDs.
I do not know the brand or power output of the power supply.
The graphics card is based on Nvidia's cheap-but-powerful 1060 graphics processor. It is very highly rated and will run games at 2560x1440 resolution.
The CPU has an internal graphics processor, and there are dedicated ports on the back of the box. This is why I can use the 1060 for other programs.
For gamers desiring more power, the motherboard supports AMD's CrossFire technology, but not nVIDIA's SLI. You can add another graphics card.
The Case
There is a lot of empty space in the case. Good for ventilation?
The sides are completely glass, not metal with windows. Be careful.
I do not see drive cages for more internal drives. The current drives are mounted between the motherboard and one side of the case.
Please remove the internal shipping foam-in-a-bag before using the computer.

This is my second ibuypower machine so far, and I'm not disappointed. It's extremely quiet and you can play just about anything on this PC. I mostly play Overwatch and have no issues staying at a constant 60+FPS with absolutely no lag on the highest settings.
It doesn't include a disc drive, but it's super each and there's lots of room in the case if you wanted to add one yourself. Overall I'm very satisfied with it, my only con is the LED remote included didn't work, very minor issue though and didn't effect my overall happiness with the PC at all.

It was time to update my system from the AMD I built a few years ago to the speed of an i7 and this was less expensive then doing a whole new build from scratch, (with what I needed in a system anyway).
First of all this thing is Fast! With having the SSD, it takes no time in start up and launching programs. I'm a full-time professional photographer so I needed a system that could easily handle Adobe CC (Photoshop and Lightroom) and not have any hiccups with the files.
Bottom line: zero issues with loading ANY large RAW files in LR (which can really drag in older systems or slower processors). Editing in PS is equally a breeze and super smooth. The i7 processor with the 16gigs of RAM and GPU is perfect.
With Video editing, again... zero issues. I haven't tried to edit any 4K video (which I don't do yet), so I can't comment on 4K editing.
As for gaming: Yes of course if you're a super hardcore gamer then the new GTX 1080 graphics with liquid cooling etc., is probably going to be your better bet, but this machine will run Skyrim with silky smoothness. This pc is total Fus Ro Dah!
Wireless: as another reviewer stated, mine also came with a AC600 USB, but haven't used it yet (and not sure if I will), to comment on the quality of connection.
As for any CON's:
- Yes, the LED color controller is a pain and doesn't work well at all. I eventually got mine to work by finding a spot with the IR remote near the back upper corner of the machine by the fan and even then it was hit an miss, but I do have mine lit up finally.
- The 1tb HD wasn't recognized on boot and updates so I had to go into "disk management" and do a format and create a "new logical drive", which after that it worked and windows recognized the 1tb HD.
- Not really a CON, but the stock 120gig SSD could and should really be a 250gig at least and I'll probably mirror it and swap for a 500gig SSD for the bit of extra space.
Bottom line:
This thing is fast. Does all I need it to do and then some. The keyboard and mouse are great and the case is extremely roomy for potential upgrades and air flow. Looks great and runs super quiet and smooth with no issues so far.

Great for gaming!

I purchased this desktop a month ago after months of researching, and I am very happy with my decision! For a beginner gamer with zero knowledge about computers, I had no idea what I needed although I knew what I wanted: something fast that can handle twitch streaming and would last for years to come. After almost settling for a more expensive model with less impressive specs directly from ibuypower, I came across this product and went out and bought it immediately after reading the reviews from people who sounded like they know their s***. Having only ever owned laptops, this was a huge deal for me. I worried that I would spend all this money for something that wasn't worth it. In the end I had nothing to worry about. Not only is this the fastest computer I've ever used, but it's pretty appealing to look at with the glass case and lights. The only "issues" I faced were the keyboard/mouse lights staying on after shut down, and the light remote requires a very specific angle that can be difficult to find. Other than that, this is great! With an incredibly simple set up right out of the box, I hooked up a 24" hdtv and can easily switch from tv speakers to a headset without having to purchase additional external speakers. It also boots on in seconds and is so quiet!
Games tested so far: L4D2, CSGO, H1Z1
I put them all on medium settings just so I don't push it, and they all run great! It's rare when I get a lag, and this computer has actually made me a better player!

Computer had great reviews and looked great.... till i opened box. lights on out side didn't work from day 1. The computer kept freezing and it wouldn't allow ctr/alt/del. then the boot screen wouldn't take you to windows. It was awful. i lost all my assiments from school and even after calling ibuy the problems just got worse. To start the ssd was what windows was running on so there wasnt any room for games on it. it sucked bad.

Great PC for a Good Price

Good purchase and what I was looking for. I was looking for another gaming PC while I am away from home every so often and found this gem in the store. I was glad they had it in stock as sometimes I can be impatient lol. It came with everything I needed to get started and the price was very reasonable. So far I've used it on Planet Coaster and rFactor 2 and haven't had any hiccups. Another plus is how quiet the system is, compared to my other beast, this one is pretty much silent. Overall I am very satisfied with the purchase.
As mentioned in other reviews, this doesn't come with a CD/DVD drive so if you need one, they're not too expensive. The backups though come on disc so if you need to restore or reinstall, you might need the CD/DVD anyway. I also received a AC600 WLAN USB which I didn't see in other reviews so that was a bonus and hooked up to the router with no problems.
