Ethernet internet connection issue solved

I'm required to be hard-wired for work. I didn't realize what a difference this cable would make since this is an updated version. I had no connection to the internet after I replaced my modem. I had Microsoft issues too. It was a 5 day tech support ordeal. I updated drivers, changed many settings and reset the IP address (Microsoft kept automatically updating each time I rebooted to the previous wrong drivers, settings and IP address!) This new ethernet cord helped make the difference.

Now I have this 100 ft cord on the floor from the front room to the back of the house cause my home doesn't have a raised foundation and it's not prewired for this! He's not complaining but it's an eye sore!

Saw this one at Best Buy, was reluctant to purchase since it is Insignia. It surprised me how well it works.

(But I wish I'd bought one slightly longer, this one barely reaches -- when I can afford to buy a longer one, this will be the brand I buy.)
