The Associate on the floor helped me identify the items I needed and this cable was part of the solution and worked like a champ!

And XP was surprisingly just plug and play... both OS were good to go. 100 Mbps only lan cards. But with 10/100/1000 new LAN dongle works great too getting closer to my 200 Mbps paid cable speed.

I have not had a single problem with connectivity since purchasing and connecting it.
