    When I purchased my new Extreme wifi base station, I needed a new cat 5 cable and this is the latest faster cable so I got it to ensure the fastest speed from my cable modem to my new wifi extreme base station. Everything works fine, good speed, no problems. Get the cable, don't be cheap and you won't regret it.

    When you don't want to use wi-fi because you need a stable connection, this allow you to reach the router without sitting right next to it. It also gave me enough length to NOT have to run it across the floor to trip on it.
