Slow, apps rotate wrong
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Tablet is slow. Some apps rotate videos wrong even when rotation is set. You still have to touch/swipe to operate some functions when a mouse is plugged into the keyboard. But it worked well enough to write this review.got it on sale at $75 . Included cord is usb-c on both ends.

Overheats and Shuts Down! DO NOT BUY!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I ordered this Tablet on-line from Best Buy for my wife. I fully charged the battery and set it up. It then sat for about 3 hours unplugged, plenty of time to cool down if needed. I downloaded four casino games from Google Play, and showed the wife how to play the slots. After a short time, we noticed the Tablet was getting a little hot. My daughter and I both have tablets and have never noticed either of them getting hot, even after leaving a slot machine running on auto all night. After about 3 hours the Tablet gave a warning message that stated, in so many words, it was going to shut down do to overheating. About a minute later it did. WOW, did I get a bad Tablet, or is this a really bad product. I am taking it to my local Best Buy, returning it, and getting a different brand. DO NOT BUY, YOU WILL BE SORRY YOU DID!

Horrible Product
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I made the mistake of not reviewing the product and incorrectly trusted the Best Buy Insignia brand. The tablet has no memory and it's hard to keep two programs open at the same time. But when I do, and switch programs, they completely reload, removing anything I had typed or edited (photo apps). I only bought this for the keyboard, which stopped working after about four months. The only thing I like about this tablet is the look with the keyboard. But that's all it has going for it. I question some of these reviewers who seem to have posted a review without actually using the tablet for more than two days.

VERY OLD technology
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First, I am a great fan of Best Buy having bought computers, cameras, GPS, and car radios from the company. In regard to the Insignia Android tablet, I did not know that such poor tablets were made today. The tablet constantly freezes and slow does not describe the speed. If Insignia is a Best Buy brand they are really hurting themselves having this name associated with the Best Buy name. I would stay clear of Insignia products as it is a "price" item you will not be satisfied with. Having been in brand management my entire career to the largest retailers in America and Europe, Best Buy should drop this product or completely revamp.

More of a notebook than a tablet
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I specifically wanted a larger screen tablet as a comics reader-- my Kindle Fire HD is too small to display a full, readable page, and an 11.6 tablet seemed like a good upgrade. The Insignia is essentially a full Windows 10 notebook with a detachable keyboard. The touchscreen is very difficult to use compared to the Fire HD and iPads, and since the computer is not built around a mobile OS, the device is slow and struggles with even modest processes. The keyboard also provides the only USB-A connections on the unit, so file transfers have to be done through the keyboard-- thumb drives are fine, but the Insignia doesn't have the power to handle larger USB harddrives. The keyboard itself is functional, but the trackpad is sloppy and hard to use-- Tap to click is going to be your best friend, as hardware clicking tends to jerk the mouse off target. Run as a tablet (windows 10 has a "tablet mode"), the USB-C connection is only useable for power and charging-- my USB-C adapter wouldn't even power the usb thumbdrives that will work with the Insignia keyboard. A MicroSD card slot is provided, necessary to supplement the maybe 10G of free space after the full Win10 install on the internal 32G storage, but the Insignia will occasionally unmount the MicroSD at random times. As a tablet, in tablet mode, the Insignia is difficult to control from its touchscreen-- taps are imprecise, and the processing is so sluggish, it's hard to know if something has been selected, opened, can be dragged, etc until the computer slowly catches up with any taps or swipes you may have performed. Luckily, comic readers don't need more precision than "tap the right side of the screen to turn the page," so it is still mostly functional for the reason I bought it... though the program options are very limited. A lot of this would probably be addressed if Windows was providing a mobile OS, but they're not really interested in making tablets. Touch-screen tablet apps are scarce and under-supported compared to Android and iOS competitors, and the "tablet," which would be almost impossible to maintain without its keyboard, is basically just a very-low-power laptop that has a detachable keyboard.

Doesn't Work
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this tablet for myself after Christmas. Was very excited but waited a week before I opened it. It had many issues upon first use.It was slow and kept shutting down. System UI not working keeps coming up before it stops. Contacted Best Buy but only had 14 days to return or exchange it and time had passed. I have been given advise on how to fix it but nothing works and this tablet never worked. Maybe I got a bad one and all the other ones are ok, but this is the experience that I have had with this product.

Slow
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was not happy with this tablet. I bought this to watch my shows on and to surf the internet. It was very slow. The touch screen didn't work all of the time. At one point I couldn't even get it to come back on. The speaker weren't loud at all. I really wanted this tablet to work for me but sadly it did not. I returned it to Best Buy only for it work for the associate that assisted me. But as soon as I got home it was back to messing up again. I will be returning this and pray for a refund.

If I could give it less than one star I would
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This tablet is absolute garbage, let me start there. I try my best to give fair reviews on anything I purchase as I work in retail and understand mistakes and issues happen. I've even had a warranty claim covered for this item due to it being so bad, and I waited for that to be resolved before writing this review because I wanted to give Insignia the chance to rectify this, but the sad part is, the second, brand new machine they sent me to replace the first (that was their resolution since I couldn't travel 64 miles to a Best Buy for a $150 tablet)? The new tablet is also garbage, and is now an expensive mousepad (the back cover texture is great for the laser, weirdly) so that just confirmed for me that it was never the first tablet being defective, this is just the product they intentionally make. Slow doesn't begin to describe it, it not only takes a full minute and a half to boot up/come on, it constantly freezes and gives the "this app isn't responding" the second you turn it on, without even opening anything! The worst is that "System UI" is the app that's not responding! That's right, the system's user interface fails at start up from the time I took it out of the box and it happens literally every day that I attempt to use it. Now I don't play big games on it, I only ever use social media apps on it, and just Instagram currently on the replacement, and yet still it can't handle a single app running without freezing constantly. Pay attention to the RAM on this thing cause it's not worth the money, at all, it's basically robbery. I bought this on sale and I would be incensed if I purchased it at full price and still had these issues. I will never touch another Insignia product again.

Don’t waste your money
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I made an account to write this review. I’m terribly disappointed. I got this tablet with intentions of using it In place of my phone. But this tablet is so incredibly slow that it’s not even worth the price I got it for on sale ($85) If you don’t mind waiting for a web page to load or if you like pressing the same button 10 times till it registers then maybe this is for you. In my opinion it’s absolute trash. Bad buy.

Very disappointing performance
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Pros: Very inexpensive, but not worth the money Cons: Unbelievably slow Unstable Software. Once booted or awakened from sleep, expect numerous pop-up messages to appear informing you that a variety of applications have stopped running. These include Google Play, Chrome, etc. Terrible battery management: 12 hours to fully charge, three days on standby drains from 100% charge to 31% charge.

Horrible Product!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I would not recommend this product to ANYONE, i've had it a little under 2 years and the actual pieces that hold the screen onto the keyboard have both since broken off, you can't run more than one app at the same time or open a new webpage window without it freezing. I will never buy another!

Garbage
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this for my dad who only uses Facebook and YouTube. Takes forever to load, apps are crashing, freezes, and this thing is so slow that it only remember's a click from a long time ago. Looks like it jumps around and has a mind of its own. Returning it ASAP.

Not The Best Tablet
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This tablet has the potential to be a great product, however it needs work. With having 32GB it should run better than it does. When you add on apps or multi-task it runs slow and crashes. The apps stop responding. So it will have to be returned.

complete junk
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This thing is useless...constantly crashes apps, and tablet, you have to reboot it at least once or twice a day due to freezing. Sometimes it won't even start up unless connected to the charger after a crash. The keyboard causes more problems than it is useful...due to flipping screen from landscape to portrait even when it's not supposed to and getting confused when trying to video chat, only letting the back camera work. Also disconnects from wifi repeatedly for no reason and won't stop until you reboot. Also it's way too heavy, accessories for it don't exist and the screen scratches more easily than any screen I've ever seen. Some apps aren't even compatible with it. Since the day I bought it some keys stick on the keyboard. Really wish I wouldn't have wasted my money on it.
