This extension can run behind a table to the chair in its original position, solving our problem. The adapter lets us use it for other things, too.

If you need to move around the home office

I need to discern event the slightest distortion and while allowing me to move away from the system the extension does not lose sound.

Great headphone extension cord

One was not long enough so I bought two and patched them together. I listen to my vinyl collection with my Bose headphones connected with these cords. My records have never sounded better.
