Right out of the box it would not work with the Sony Headphones I purchased with this order. Very faint sound, with receiver system cranked to max. New headphones worked great on other pieces of equipment. Concluded it was a bad cord. Drove the 25 miles to nearest Best Buy to see if Geek Squad could check the cord out before I would do exchange. They too could not get it to function. Tried two other different packages in store, they acted exactly the same as the first one. 0 for 3, defective. Got a refund for the item. Swung by Wal-Mart, and purchased their branded version, andbit worked to perfection. The cables with Best Buy must all be from the same defective batch, since the Dallas warehouse that supplies the store had one bad, and the two here were bad. First defective purchase I've had in forever, not a common thing with my BB purchases.

Tight coil and doesn't really stretch 20 feet.
