I needed a new cable for a new beast computer and new modem-router. This is overkill if it's really CAT-6 capable, since my household wiring surely isn't. Regardless, its construction makes me feel respect for it. Its relative stiffness suggests it's really well shielded. Its connectors click into and remove from the ethernet ports excellently. That's been a problem with cheap cables I've bought in the past, which also came apart at the connectors.
