Could only run 120hz instead of 144hz and doesnt support freesync. Switched back to my Display Port cable and all of a sudden it works again. this is supposed to be a really high end cable that supports 8k resolution and the works, according to the box and the internet. Overall it still works as intended but at $15 a pop im kind of disappointed that it lacks support for features that are supported by cheaper cables. Would only recommend if your using for a TV or a regular monitor (it does support up to 120hz on 1080p ive confirmed that, you just dont get freesync and id imagine no gsync either)
