I bought this device to replace a defective Dynex portable DVD remote control. It does MOST of what I need but does NOT duplicate all of the original remote's capabilities: Load & unload, Open, etc. It appears to be able to act as a universal remote for various video products.

Recently I came home from a gig (I'm a magician). I picked up the remote and immediately knew something was wrong. My Insignia Remote Control no longer had that smooth feel in my hand. The back was rough with sharp edges. I looked more closely and realized that my beloved remote had been chewed up. I looked around the room and quickly spotted the culprit. A new dog had come into our family, he's a beautiful German Shepherd that someone had abandoned. Occasionally, he picks things up off the coffee table and chews on them. He also puts those items back on the coffee table when he is done with them. I was about to give up on my night of television when I realized that it was only 7:00 pm and that Best Buy was still open. I quickly went online to see if they had a replacement for my digital doggie chew toy. They did AND they had them in stock at my closest location. Ten minutes later I paying the helpful clerk and heading back home. I got home and grabbed a soda out of my fridge. I opened the soft drink and plopped back down in front of television with my new remote in hand. I found what I wanted to watch and settled in. I took a drink off my soda and started to put the can on a coaster on the coffee table. That's when I looked across the room to see that dog with the coasters in his mouth.

Instructions are easy and I was able to get one remote for my 2 electronics. No frills, no problems.

I dropped my Vizio remote. The thing broke into several pieces. I went to Best Buy to hopefully have the Geek Squad repair it. Salesman in the Music section advised me to invest in a new remote. I did. This Insignia remote exceeds the original remote that came with the Vizio TV. Thanks Best Buy!

We used two better remotes but they broke down too easily so we accept the lack of features which a Logitech Harmony remote offers.

This was purchased for a neighbor . She needed something easy to program and I set it up with her new TV in less than 10 minutes !

Takes a little time to set up but works well. I can control my tv, apple tv and my sound bar.

I have an Insignia TV but lost the remote. I purchased a different remote but I couldn't get it to work with the TV so I returned it and bought this one. Not only does this remote work flawlessly but it also works with my Blu-ray player.

Recently purchased to replace doggie chewed/broken remotes. This remote came preprogrammed to run more items than I had considered. No set up was required, at all! It did take me a few minutes to catch on to controlling my AppleTV with it, but that's on the operator, not the equipment.

My remote went out on the tv that I have in my bedroom. I ran to Best Buy and grabbed this one. It is perfect. Programming was easy and I didn't hassle about matching it up with my Samsung television. This remote is so good that I'm going to buy another on for my LG tv in my living room.

I don't remember buying this here but if I'm buying electronics it's going to be by the best at bestbuy. Love this controller.

I bought this controller to replace the one we lost. So far so good.

We had problems with two remotes and found this to replace them both. Yep, this gets it done.

This remote may have a lot of buttons, but i had no problem using it or connecting it.

I like the remote. a little tricky for setup.. had to revisit the store for some advice

It worked with most of my audio and video equipment but not with a 16-year old amplifier (which is not a surprise).

I had too many remotes on my coffee table. Now I have one remote that does it all! Thanks!

Small input button to switch hdmi ports. It’s hard to find
