Doesn't work with my cable box

However, it would not function with our cable box (Cisco mini-box from Cox). To find codes, this remotes relies on turning off the device as confirmation that the correct code was entered. This isn't helpful with an always-on device like our cable box. I even tried every code manually, and still couldn't get it to work. Interestingly, my Harmony remote that we use on another TV synced perfectly with the cable box immediately. It has the potential to be a great remote, but definitely didn't work out in our situation. Disappointing.
