I am on a quest to replace multiple remotes in three different rooms with a single "universal" remote for each. The equipment differs in the three rooms, so I need versatile remotes without going broke. I initially tried two RCA remotes and one of these. I immediately returned the RCA remotes because they were IMPOSSIBLE to program. I must say that this Insignia model is EASY to program, especially with well known brand devices. The sad thing is that I must return this Insignia remote because it is lacking a feature that is critical for me and MAYBE for YOU, too. There is NO button for Closed Captioning (cc - TV and Cable) and there is NO button for Subtitles (Blu-Ray and DVD devices). WHAT A SHAME. I will be spending more and buying the Logitech Harmony 350 that is fully programmable via a computer and/or able to LEARN from another remote! I will check the "I would recommend" box with the CAVEATE that I would NOT recommend this product to anyone who requires captioning or subtitles!!

Got this for my Insignia 50", Sony Surround, and Blu Ray player. Was easy to program and controlled all the important aspects of the remote. I can work my television menu, channels, enter button etc with no problems. Also completely controls my Sony Blu Ray and Sony Surround volume control.

This universal remote was not compatible with my JVC DVD/ VCR player/recorder, so I had to return it.

Did not work. Not recommended. Please don't buy it

I'm probably an idiot, but I couldn't get the thing to work on any TV.

The remote Doesn't work as expected. Not all the functions work.

Got it to work easily with my LG TV, Onkyo receiver, and Sonly Blu-ray player first time around. Couldn't get it to work with a Roku streaming stick, unfortunately. Doesn't stay in setup mode for very long so you have to sort of know what you are doing. Really like the fact that you can lock the channel and volume controls to one specific device.

Easily setup my Samsung TV, TWC cable box and Insignia Soundbar. Would give this remote 5 stars if it had the ability to program macros (ie - turn on/off all equipment with one button), and having it back-lit would be nice when it's dark, but for the most part, the buttons are laid out pretty logically. Glad I was able to consolidate 3 remotes into 1!

One morning I checked on the Best Buy web site to see what I can find on about a new TV remote for my Insignia TV. The buttons on my old remote has been wearing out for some time. I was surprise to find this new in stock Insignia TV remote. It is mostly the exact remote as my old remote. So that evening I went to Best Buy and got the new TV remote. The next morning I had to program the new remote. There were 16 Insignia codes to select from. I tried all the codes and the code that I needed was the last one I had tried. I also program in the cable box code number. That is under the stream button. This new remote works just fine. The buttons on it are easy to push. I do not need to push hard on the buttons like on my old TV remote. You must supply you own two AA batteries.

Easily worked on my Sceptr Tv. Vizio aoundbar and Uverse tv. Great item but need backlight to be perfect

This is a pretty good universal remote for what it is. It is capable of controlling up to four devices. While it doesn't have the features of the Logitech Harmony remotes, it is easy to use and supports a pretty wide amount of devices for a fraction of the price.

I bought this remote to replace my 7 years old Toshiba TV/DVD remote, the universal remote work as good as the original.

I was able to connect this remote to my LG SMART TV and use the power, menu, input, volume buttons etc. however I wasn't able to access any of the apps on my tv. I bought this remote in store and asked if I would be able to use the apps and was told yes. Hopefully I'll be able to return it. Best Buy is usually good about that stuff though.

needed to replace my tv remote. after the dog ate the channel and volume key. this remote get the job done.

Very easy to program my TV, Cable and Reciever. UNFORTUNATELY, the Power button only turns on/off ONE device at a time. I contacted customer support to see if there was a way to turn on/off all programmed devices with the Power button and they said no. I will return the device.

I think this is one of the easiest remotes to program!

Replaced Verizon's remote. Works with verizon fios box and samsung tv. All functions appear to be available (some under a different label). Only issue is the DVR button is labeled as List which can be mistaken for Last with poor eyesight or when not fully paying attention.

I cut the cord so I needed a new remote for my Panasonic TV, Samsung sound bar, and Apple TV. I had all three devices programmed in five minutes! The smart tv controls and permanent sound bar volume control work perfectly.

Pros: the remote was able to control all of the gadgets that I have. I was afraid that it will not control my small digital cable box ( not the regular dvr box). Cons: don't have a system power on/off to shutdown all devices at the same time :-(.

This works perfectly with the Insignia TV and was really easy to set up.
